Hi everyone!
This is my first post in this community and for my first post I want to share my country's national bird which is the Philippine Eagle. I draw this with charcoal HB and 2H. I hope you like it.
From the sketch that I made. I slowly build the shades starting from the eyes to the beak until I am satisfied with the outcome.
As for the feathers I just indent the paper using toothpick to make highlights before I put the the darker parts just like what I did for the skin.
The most difficult part for me to do in this piece was the shadows. I got caught up doing the individual feathers and forgot the over all shadows of the eagle. But overall I am still happy with the outcome.
