In that example, I was using the fantasy
setting. It can get pretty silly if you want. Like, in this case, I just started fishing without any prompt saying I could. The game didn't really know what to do with that, but it tried.

I ended up finding a telescope in a tree. But my inventory got all screwy because prior to this, I kept trying to get into my backpack.
Earlier:
From then on, everything I did was inside the bag/backpack, which probably made the inventory super weird. Hammerspace is pretty weird.
I love text-based adventures because they actually do take a bit of thinking.
Yeah, they can really fire the imagination.
