Fairyland wrapped in history, gorgeous architecture with lovely detailed photography. Yes it would be amazing to visit places like this when no one is around, enjoy the real feel of centuries ago.
Thanks for a very well narrated explanation about the region.
Thank you for your kind comment. The place did have a magical feeling. It would have been better on a not so busy evening, but it was Saturday and quite warm compared to other days. I was there Sunday, but it was supposed to get chilly (it did). Compromises are always necessary.
It would be really neat to visit the place in its fully former glory, but there is so little evidence of what that would have looked like.
You caught a glimpse of another life, your imagination took it a bit further using night photography it opened a world of what possibly was.
Thanks ~ the time to visit there is definitely at night. I keep telling myself I need a better camera lens, though.
That is a pretty neat place you hit all the angles . Love me a good pond too. Unfortunately this place missed me while in Korea. A lot of history here , you did your research.
Gyeongju is around 3 hours drive from Seoul, so unless you are in Korea for a few weeks, it's probably better to visit the places around Seoul and maybe a beach if it's summer.
You managed to get some great shots of the fabulous lighting and architecture. The history is interesting and King Munmu sounds like a leader needed nowadays.
I think he would be better than most current leaders, but then again being critical of kings was difficult back in the day.
