Damn. Awesome post.. it would take me at least a week just to type that.. my only experience of Korea is #fakenews and what I've seen binge watching MASH...

Korea has some pretty good fake news. I miss the air-raid practice sirens every 3rd Thursday of the month. All the people not used to living here always got a little freaked out.

Quite a few people think MASH was about the Vietnam war. The slur Gook actually came from the Korean word miguk me-gook which means America and sounds like broken English, Americans during the war didn't realize Koreans were just saying America. Mi = beautiful and Guk = country. America actually lucked out on that name.

It took me around 2.5 hours to type. I don't need to research or fact check myself. Thanks for your kind comments.

Ha! I'm glad to have an appellation other than @abitcoinskeptic - which, by the way, speaks for itself.

Good to "meet" you - properly. Helped to join the dots from your posts. I share many of your sentiments (unless you hadn't guessed) but tend to shy away from confrontation. Unless I'm seriously provoked.

I've been toying with joining this challenge, but on reflection and considering the impact of the lock down on my life, I will.

Glad you've also hived over....

Glad to see you on Hive too. I'm also often reluctant to join challenges, but I thought this one was overdue in my case.

I've read a couple of other #myhiveintro. As always, everyone treats it a little differently. Some other Hive people have very interesting lives, this is good. I don't mind being provoked. Ignoring people on the Internet is super easy.

Sometimes, I think should I change my name? Other times I like it. I'm going to keep it. I'm more skeptical of altcoins than bitcoins, to be honest, but compared to your average no-coiner, I'm an enthusiastic supporter! The play on a bit, as in a litle not 0/1, is important.

I look forward to reading your post.

Hi Sean.. Finally I know your real name.
Never imagines that use been in Korea for 15 years.
Hoe's things for you now.. with all the lock down ?

Hello, Ireen Chew I presume.

I never imagined I would be here for 15 years either.

We don't have a lockdown in Korea. Life is still fairly normal here. As you can see, I took a walk in the hills today. I hope the virus is treating you alright.

Wow! Lucky you..
Though there's no strict lock down or curfew, everyone is very obedient to stay home unless they need to go and get provisions.
Mainly because many shops are closed by instruction of the Govt so it became pointless for anyone to go out

Oh, your society is obedient indeed. Everyone here is headed to the busy parks to enjoy the lovely spring weather. I have a feeling we could be living like this for awhile.

Alright...now I see you really love frogs indeed 🐸 This is a great introduction post !

Welcome to the hive community

~ Thank you! I almost feel at home already.

Ok, found out you're called Sean, so hi there Sean. 👋

Hello there Livin~ Actually, I think it says my name on telegram, but I rarely use that.

Thanks for reminding me of the reason behind my follow of you. A great read!

Thank you very much. Glad you liked it. I write too much in my posts.

Well, I think that you know my name and this is one great intro Sean!
Now I don't have to explain to my wife who @abitcoinskeptic is anymore.
You should also give that frog a name and talk to him.
Some lovely photos here!
Blessings!

Mr. Frog is his name and we chat often :)

I took all those photos earlier in the day. I went hiking with my mother-in-law to celebrate her birthday which is coming up soon. She bases it on the lunar calendar so it changes every year.

Ah! Give my greetings to Mr Frog.
I suppose your Mom in law can change her age too according to her own calendar Lol.
Blessings!

Korea looks beautiful! Is that Seoul in the first picture? Great post! Looks like a great place to live.

Yes, that is Northern Seoul.
Thank you. Looking at the city from on top of the surrounding hills is great!

oh canadaaaaaaaaaa
