As a writer, one of the keys to achieving excellence in any genre is continuous learning through deep exploration of a subject. This process involves gathering insights, knowledge, and value.
Hive Blockchain is my current subject of interest; a vast network of knowledge with endless potential, a journey that I, as a writer, am eager to embark on.
Before I continue, let me introduce myself. My name is Adebayo Adenrele. I am a literary enthusiast, seasoned writer, wordsmith, journalist, and content specialist. My expertise spans the three genres of literature—Prose, Drama, and Poetry—and extends far beyond.
I started writing at the age of 8, during the early stages of my academic journey in Ebenezer Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Eruwa, Oyo State. I began with short essays, then moved on to prose and other forms of writing. I am also a critical and content analyst with nearly a decade of professional writing experience.
The journey has been rough and tough, with challenges from various quarters urging me to give up on my dreams. In secondary school at Baptist Model High School, Eruwa, Oyo State, my classmates nicknamed me "MANDELA" because I was the first student to be featured in the school’s journal as a result of my write-up on the late Nelson Mandela.
The article titled “Things You Should Know about Nelson Mandela” spoke about how the icon championed the campaign against ‘Apartheid’ in South Africa and its peaceful transition to a democracy.
It also emphasized on how he traveled throughout the country as part of the campaign, trying to build support for nonviolent means of protest against the discriminatory laws. The article also discussed how he was involved in drafting the Freedom Charter in 1955, a document calling for nonracial social democracy in South Africa.
I have published various e-book anthologies, including "Lore for 24" and "Under the Sunshower".
“Lore for 24” is a poetry anthology with 24 distinct poems to commemorate my 24th birthday. Each poem dwell around realities of life, my experiences and struggles while growing up as a child and my aspirations for the future. See link to the e-book
“Under the Sunshower” is the first anthology that comprises literary works of myself and over ten writers across several states during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Ekiti State in 2022. It was published on the day we bowed out of service as corps members.
“Under the Sunshower” talks about our struggles throughout our service year, our expectations, disappointments, pains, the hype of the scheme and how we were left with no choice but to face realities. See link to the anthology
Additionally, I have published several articles in online media and conventional newspapers, and some of my drama scripts have been performed on the radio. My achievements led my higher institution, Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, Oyo State, to appoint me as the pioneer President of the Creative and Presentation Club (CPC), a leading theater group that extends beyond acting.
I have also unpublished literary works, including two novels, four poetic drama books, and a collection of over 1,000 poems, among others.
A particularly dreadful challenge came in 2015 when I received a threatening message demanding that I stop writing, as it was claimed that writing was not my destined path. But here I am, still pursuing my passion.
As a field journalist, my expertise includes investigative journalism, reporting, and more. I have attended several research programs focused on literature, journalism, and related fields. I also furthered in my education at the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma certificate in journalism.
Though we have an endless voyage ahead of us in the world of Hive Blockchain, I’d like to share that I am currently a freelance editor for five blogging sites, writing for six journals, and reporting for a radio station.
My purpose in diving into HIVE Blockchain is to collaborate with great writers and draw from their wealth of knowledge. I am an enthusiast who is always thirsty for knowledge. I am open to learning and welcome all forms of criticism, whether constructive or not, as I believe that growth often comes through discomfort.
I will bring my expertise to the table while also learning from the experiences of existing users. This mutual exchange of knowledge will help expand our horizons and contribute immensely to the growth and development of Hive Blockchain.
