Hello friends, I'm making this post to introduce myself to the community!

Thanks to my dear friend @silviared945, she introduced me to Hive, this new social world for me, and I must say it helped me open this profile because I must confess, I've never been a fan of social media in general. But truth be told, she spoke very highly of Hive, saying it's a place where people treat each other with respect, and there's a discussion of various topics that's of higher quality.

I must say this intrigued me a lot. I, too, have always looked for something to interact with people who live far away. But getting back to me, my name is Alessia, I'm 25 years old, and I live in Sicily, near Catania. I work as an administrative secretary at a public company for about a year now, after completing my university studies and graduating in Tax Economics.

For several years, I also thought about leaving Sicily to pursue opportunities abroad, but it's always so difficult to leave this land where you were born. However, I've been fortunate to find work, so I think I'll stay here at least for a while.

Naturally, I have several hobbies. One of them is traveling. When I have some time, but mostly when I have some money, I like to travel wherever I can. I enjoy all types of travel, from backpacking to a bit more comfortable and maybe more luxurious trips, depending on my budget.

Another hobby I share with my friend Silvia is my love for art. When I travel, I always try to discover artistic things. I attended an art high school during my secondary education, so I have some background in this area.

Another hobby I enjoy is food. I'm quite a foodie, as they say in Italy, and this can be a downside because lately I've noticed I've gained some weight, but I can't resist especially when it comes to desserts.

Another hobby of mine that I carry through life is singing. I've always had a family that enjoyed having fun and attending concerts, so they passed on their passion for music to me. I've been singing since I was a child, not professionally, but self-taught.

One desire I've had for a long time is to perhaps take some singing lessons at a music school, but partly due to time constraints and partly due to financial reasons, I've never fulfilled this desire.

In conclusion, I hope to have fun here in this community. I'm still figuring out how it all works, but maybe some evenings I'll sit down and share some posts. I think it's important to find people to share our passions with in a community or social network.

Welcome Alessia! Hive is really a nice place. I don't like social media in general because sometimes you can't really learn from each other, a bit rare to see quality discussions on topics over there. That's what makes Hive different. It's just nice to know more and talk to people here, without judgement and you can have good discussions here.

By the way, I'm surprised you attended an art high school. Are you an artist? 🙂

I would have liked to go to art academy but then the choice of my studies went differently.
