SOLITUDE UNDERNEATH THE SKIES
I often enjoy rewarding myself with "solitude" while enjoying the great view of the vast skies that stretches towards a seemingly infinite horizon. Yes, I know, it may seem strange and lonely to some, but not for me.
Come on! Look at the view! Imagine yourself all alone, bright. sunny, the relaxing wind blows through your face, and a cup of coffee.
BUT NO! NOT THIS TIME.
Tahdaaa! My significant other.
I have decided to treat someone and share one of the things that I enjoy being "alone". You know, sometimes you need someone to tell about your "solitude", make them experience the way how you enjoy things.
Yes, I purposely use this almost-silhouette-like photo, because I intend to showcase the beautiful glare of sunset. Yes, I know it could have been better if our faces were not there and let you enjoy the great view of the sunset alone, but I want to make your lives miserable, just a little bit.
This was just an ordinary day, she have been working hard for couple of weeks, so I decided to give her a treat. When I was single, and when "she was still courting me"(lol), I usually go to this place and have a cup of coffee, just enjoying my "me-time". But, then again, this time, I'm taking her to experience what it's like.
THE MOMENT TO CAPTURE
So we ordered few snacks and coffee treats for each. For couple of hours we just talked about random thing while enjoying the view and waiting for the sun to set goodbye for the day.
This photo was taken from a phone focused on the glare, trust me, I enjoyed having conversation with her but this moment in which sunset glares through these tree branches is something I could not miss to capture.
There it is again showcasing the sunset from the mountains with a of paper cups and can. I love staring at it, romantic, isn't it?
THE PLACE OF THE MOMENT
This time I switched the focus to the cups, what you see on the cup lips are chocolates; an added sugar rush to enjoy your coffee and sweetness in life.
If ever you're wondering, neither me nor my girlfriend's name is Charlie. "Charlie's Cup" is the name of the place, more than 20km from the metro of Cebu City, Philippines passing through Trans-central Highway. The place is kind of highly elevated, so cold and relaxing atmosphere is what you will get when traveling around afternoon time.
REALIZATION OF WHAT IS BETTER TO SEE
Just before we leave I took this shot, the suns is completely set but still the light radiates to the vast horizon.
As the sun sets so does the darkness starts to show up. This is a remote place so we decided to kick off and head back home. Sometimes during night time, the road gets foggy and road visibility is a struggle.
The day was ordinary, but the experience never was: it is more than special.
When the sun lose its light we often worry of the darkness that is coming, but if you would take time to enjoy the moment, like the sunset view; THERE IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING IN EVERTHING.
An awesome view up here! Some cool photos as well. I bet this sunset was one of a kind.
