Hi guys🥰🥰

It's me your Girl Amzzy .

In my recent lectures,we started with parts of speech because it is very important that your know how to use you parts of speech before we move into how to write quality contents.

So in my previous lecture,we started with Nouns and verb. In this lecture we would be focusing on adjectives and adverbs but don't forget about your nouns and verbs🤗🤗🤗🙂

How to use your adverbs.

Adverbs and adjective.

Both adverb and adjective helps to modify or qualify a part of speech but the part of speech each modifies or try to tell more about differs.

Adverb.

An adverb is a part of speech that modifies a verb,an adjective another adverb or a whole sentence.

Confused?

Ok .see what I mean in the below example.

We progressed slowly
He is an incredibly amazing cook
He cooks really amazingly

In example one slowly which is an adverb modifies the verb progressed.

In example two "incredibly is an adverb that tells us or describes the adjective "amazing"

In example 3

Really is an adverb that is telling us or modifying another adverb "amazingly" that is the manner of her cooking or the extent to which she cooks

Don't forget that a verb is an action word or a doing word.

A verb portrays an action while an adverb tries to tell how the action was being performed.

4.Interestingly,he comes from England ( here interestingly which is an adverb represents the whole sentence.

Please don't forget the functions of an adverb.it:

Modifies a verb
Modifies an adjective
Modifies another adverb
Modifies the whole sentence.

Do you get my explanation?

Common don't squeeze your face . I have got a better explanation of the whole thing with more examples.

Example 1

Chisom sang.

Sang is the action performed by chisom .so it is a verb

Chisom sang melodiously.

In the above statement sang is a verb while melodiously is an adverb because it tries to explain or tell more about how chisom sings.

It expresses the manner chisom sang.

Can we take another example?🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Example 2

Stecy ate hurriedly because she was so hungry

Ate is verb that is the action being performed by stecy while hurriedly tells us more about how stecy was eating😅😅😅😅.

Sometimes in a sentence it might seem really confusing to determine if a particular word is a verb or an adjective because both sometimes seems a little bit confusing.

Don't worry your small head about that😁😁😁 Amzzy's lectures got you covered.

As we progress in the class, you will get to learn how

adjective are being formulated from an adverb,
how you can differentiate between an adjective and an adverb in a sentence and
also understand the best way to you use you sentence to avoid common error in speech combination.

Thank you guys.🥰🥰🥰

See you in my next lecture.

Please if you have a question, drop it at the comment section and I promise we would look at it together...

Your understanding ,is my priority.🤗🤗🤗🤗
