How We Made This Photo Look Better With Leaves!

in OCD5 years ago (edited)

On one of those great days, we set off to the great outdoors to execute a photo session. It was more like a reunion as our friend @kodeblaccc came around. The other people present were the models and another photographer friend of mine.

Today I'll be sharing this photo which we created on that day. Whilst shooting we decided to create this look by adding leaves to the frame. How did we do that? I and my other photographer friend simply gathered up some leaves from the ground and stood behind the model on each side. When we were ready, we gently sprayed the leaves and let the wind do the rest (we took note of the wind direction prior to doing thisburst shots so he could capture as many images as possible so as to be able to select the best looking ones later. The model had to stay still through all this. However, it got messy at the end as the wind eventually landed all the leaves on her, haha. We helped clean up and get the leaves out of her hair afterwards.
Here's what the result looked like: ). @kodeblaccc was on camera duty and took

I chose this photo because I felt it was the best composed out of the bunch and I colourgraded it to give this autumn feel.
To achieve this, the hue of the greens were tweaked to the yellow side. This was easily achieved on the Adobe Lightroom Mobile app on my smartphone.

We captured "Behind the scenes" photos and I really wanted to share them. But unfortunately I seem to have lost the folder that contained all the photos from that day :( Been looking for it all over my laptop for a while now.

The photos were created on a Nikon D750 camera accompanied with a Nikon 85mm f/1.8 lens. Just the natural light was used as we encountered problems with our speedlight.
I hope you like the result from our shoot, It was really fun creating it.

Thanks for coming around, hope to see you again!
