My background
Patience Utuks is my humble name. I am a philanthropist, an entrepreneur and a community health worker from a noble state in Nigeria. where I received my education. I love that name patience, my father gave me the name patience because it has reflected in my daily life and I was patiently waiting to write in this awesome platform @hive.
Let me explain what the name patience means and reasons why I love the name.
Patience is an asset! And the ability to accept or tolerate delay, difficulty, or suffering without becoming angry or upset.
Reasons why I Love My Name Patience
Patience will improve your physical health
Stress and anger are frequently the result of impatience, and they have been linked to a variety of physical "stress-related illnesses." Hypertension, high cholesterol, ulcers, heart disease, and strokes are a few examples. According to research, people who score higher on patience have lower overall stress levels and less physical illness related to stress.
Patience aids in the development of a positive attitude
A lack of patience frequently leads to being unhappy, irritable, focusing on the negative, and eventually believing that nothing ever goes your way. Patience makes it easier to accept setbacks and enjoy life more. "Good things come to those who wait," as the saying goes. Patience enables you to persevere and make more productive decisions.
Patience changes relationships
It can assist you in avoiding becoming irritated, defensive, or saying hurtful things. It can slow you down and keep you from making rash, selfish decisions. Patience aids in the development of the crucial relationship skill of empathy — the ability to see life through the eyes of another. When you are impatient, your attention is drawn inward, to yourself, to what you are not receiving. When you are patient, on the other hand, you are focused outward, able to think about and choose care and compassion for the other person.
That's why I like that name; I believe everyone here is patient.
