Altica lythri is a species of beetle in the family Chrysomelidae. The color is dark blue metallic with a relatively small size (56 mm) compared to other beetles in the genus Altica. It feeds on the leaves of plants like weeds and is a common beetle found in Asia, North Africa, Europe. I took these photos when two beetles were having sex.
