I just shared this post on twitter for instance, soon you'll see poshtoken comment with an embedded link to the tweet:
Now if someone else had shared it I could've thanked them by voting the comment up and they'd receive the rewards along with earning POSH depending on how well the tweet did.

It doesn't do anything on Twitter, it just places a comment under the hive post you shared there. You just need to include the hive post link and the #hive tag in the tweet and be registered to receive rewards.
