September Community Updates
As of August 1, 2023, we obtained our official Family Child Care Program license at our View Street Location in Chicopee, MA.
Beginning on August 31, 2023, we are hosting School Age Programming for students ages 5-13.
September 1st, 2023, was the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the city of Chicopee.
Letter from the Director 🤝
Hello everybody, Mr. Charlie here!
I am grateful to everyone who is supporting the growth of One Strong. This summer has lead to many successes and triumphs for our organization especially with the graduation of our first Interns and the acquirement of our license. Our ribbon-cutting ceremony in September was a true success, and it was fascinating to have the chance to meet local politicians and members of the school committee.
The catering provided by Dev's Mac N Eats was absolutely delicious. I want to give a special shoutout to Devin and his family for putting together such a lavish spread. Additionally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my cousin and brother Roberto, as well as his wife Lauryn, for their invaluable assistance. Not only did they help me prepare the location for this event last year, but their unwavering support and belief in this project have been a constant inspiration to me. Throughout the process of launching Youth Programming for 2023-2024, I relied on them to bounce ideas off of and collect materials, and their contributions were truly invaluable.
The best part about all of this is the feeling of "firsts". I have my "first" kids, with my "first program, with many more "firsts" to come. It's going to truly be a blast figuring out all of this with my "first" families and making a difference with this mission I believe in. I want to end with my favorite motto:

One Strong Token Ecosystem Update
The One Strong Token (OST) is a digital asset that operates on the Hive blockchain's second layer, Hive-Engine. This token is exclusively distributed to members of @onestrong who possess Hive Accounts and actively engage with the diverse programs offered by the One Strong brand, encompassing the One Strong Community Program, One Strong Foundation, and One Strong Page.
With a total supply of 30,000 Active OSTs and an additional 70,000 Available OSTs residing in the @onestrong Hive account, the token's ecosystem is meticulously managed, with no new tokens generated since its initial creation.
Interns within the One Strong community have the opportunity to earn OST through active participation in Internship Programs, a unique initiative that not only rewards their efforts with tokens but also supports their career development. This comprehensive program includes skill assessments, resume reviews, and work readiness preparation, ensuring that interns receive valuable hands-on experience and guidance.
For students engaged in these programs, there's an additional incentive in the form of an hourly wage alongside the acquisition of One Strong Tokens, further enriching their experience.
Youth Members and Families affiliated with One Strong can also earn OST by actively engaging with the Community Newsletter and participating in various associated activities and programming. This encourages participation and interaction within the One Strong community, fostering a sense of unity and growth.
One Strong Tokens (OST) hold a vibrant market presence and can be actively traded on hive-engine.com/trade/OST. Notably, the @onestrongfund account is proactively engaged in repurchasing OST from members, offering a competitive rate of at least 0.05 SWAP.HIVE for each OST. These rates are determined by the 2023 Internship Class, reflecting the commitment of the One Strong community to support and incentivize its members in their journey towards growth and empowerment.

The One Strong Community Program is dedicated to assisting its members by delivering "creative programming," which includes events, resources, and opportunities that promote a community's educational, cultural, artistic, and economic growth and interests.
One Strong utilizes the Hive blockchain to share One Strong Community Program newsletters. The organization uses the Hive blockchain to harness the potential of the Proof of Brain System. @onestrong's vision is to shape members into positive forces of society and garner a unified network between gateway city neighborhoods and at-risk communities in Massachusetts.
Alongside the One Strong Foundation, this organization enforces policies, distributes curricula, and provides opportunities for youth, teens, and adult residents who wish to further a community's cultural, artistic, and economic interests.

As we look to the future, we are completing an application for a new grant in the upcoming year.
This grant will support our mission to engage and empower students from Chicopee Comprehensive High School's Design and Visual Communication department to continue the Internship Project.
