The Hive must check their needs

in OCD4 years ago

Everyone's approach differs to suit their needs. The user scalability issues these decentralized platforms experience is due to endless jungle battles. Rewards can not keep people around since it is not free. They have to adhere and attempt to mold to the forces at play. User loss is due to unmet needs. Some can buy back bigger to make a better stand and have more offensive and defensive capabilities. No, you don't have to intervene, but it might be worth it down the road.

It doesn't necessarily mean that the system failed. Issues usually arise from the actors within the system. Decentralization makes shared goals even harder.

Example

The @themarkymark had at one point an issue surrounding his blacklist. He developed the need to have enemies to scold. The list got big as a result.

They developed the need to get the fuck away. Thankfully the community was able to pry Marky off of that.

The most harmful to Hive are those that are here because they want a story to tell. They park their cash and depend on others to be gung-ho and make their idiot dreams a reality. The issue is the needs they develop. They end up engaging in the monkey business.

Look at some witnesses. Early witnesses want to maintain their position. The best way to do that is by supporting each other. That is fine. But ask, what the fuck has that guy done in the past year? Please have a purge.

"I'm a Steem witness" is looking like a probable Achilles heel.

Across the Valley

Steem approach is differing from Hive's because they are building a safety net for basic needs. This will buy them time to deal with all the input-output crises of all parties.

I am beefing with STINC right now. Fuck Justin.
