Introduction to Hive - Chris Vaz

in OCD3 years ago (edited)

Hey there, Hive Community!

I have got to say that I am thrilled to be a part of this community. I realized I must begin with an introductory post and so, here we gooo. To share a little about my roots, I was born in Mangalore, Karnataka which is a city in India. At the age of 3, I moved to Kuwait, where I spent most of my school years. I then returned back to India for graduation and am currently in my 3rd year of college pursuing my Bachelors in Computer Applications (B.C.A) at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, India.

I am an ambivert, a technophile obsessed with the latest gadgets, interested in sports mainly cricket, and also mainly curious about how the field of design and development can create an impact on us.

I started learning to code when I was a teenager. I’ve always been a great problem solver. Back then, it was always more of a hobby than a career focus. But I continued to pursue this hobby of mine and started learning more about UI/UX Design. I now have a creator account page where I showcase my work and document my career in tech.

@chrisvaz Welcome to the blockchain, man. I can see you are into tech too, so am I 😁. Although my area is data science. Being relevant on hive takes being active. Do that and you're good.

Glad to have found a person interested in tech as well! 😄
Yes, I'll work on that and try to be consistent on the platform.

We are together, man. 😁✌

Welcome to hive

Thank you! Excited to learn more about this blockchain

Hello, I saw your intro post which was posted in theterminal_18px.png The Terminal Discord server. Welcome to HIVE, from a fellow n00b. I was on the legacy blockchain three years ago, but I'm still very new on Hive. The folk at theterminal_18px.png The Terminal are really friendly and helpful.

Yes I do agree. They're really supportive.
Thank you for the welcome. Excited to be here.😄

Hello @chrisvaz ! This is @proteancreator from @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) team, and I just want to say that that's some fine introduction post you got! Welcome to Hive!

I don't have a strong background in coding, but you really seem to love it! I'm pretty sure you will certainly do well and thrive here on Hive.

Do make sure to subscribe to Communities you like so you could share your blogs there to have a wider range of audience 😄. Check out the Communities Incubation Program for more info.

Also, letting you know, since content on the Hive platform is monetized, using other people’s ideas or images could be considered as an offense and which is also viewed in a serious light on the blockchain. Here is a useful collection of resources about how plagiarism and abuse is viewed and handled on Hive.

Thank you so much for this insight @lovesniper !
This will definitely help me a lot around understanding the blockchain better.

Welcome on board.

Thank you! Feels great to be here.

Welcome to Hive! I am sure you'll have a great time here! :D

Thank you! 😄
Excited to be here and learn more about the blockchain.

Welcome aboard! I am not a programmer, but I am starting to explore very basic electronics and programming. My tech skills are much more on the user end. I know a bit of CAD, a bit of graphic design, a lot of basic office stuff, and so forth.

Our library copier could have used another round of UI/UX work. It's something few notice when it's done right, but it's blindingly obvious when there's a failure.
