The road has finally cleared. The block has been tumbled and the one man band which is me... Can continue the show.
Many things got in the way, this past month. Mental health, family, friends, money... Investments 👀, it's a hard one to take and I hope everything has stayed strong through this agonizing dip.
After losing my teammate in this project Nicky (to another commitment related to our production company) sitting my my tiny studio for 12 hour stretches seemed impossibly dull, not only would it been boring 'af', it takes double the time.
The other major issue I discovered when we ran the animation tests last month was the painful realization that we couldn't cheap the process, and even with short 100 frame tests, our subjects would not remain entirely stationary and even the slightest of adjustments were noticeable, and this ultimately meant we would need to build some sort of a rig.
Which I have finished finally, and I must admit I have the joinery skills of hoofed animals so it wasn't a easy task. But I managed to create something in the end.
And alas, it's actually works.
So today I finally managed to put out the first 100 frames of final animated material which is a sheer fraction of the project, however it's all downhill from here ✊🍾
Best Wishes,
Cotton.
