Good morning everyone, I am @crazygal want to share my garden in this community. I am a Filipino teacher assigned to the far-flung mountain.
The time I built my house, I decided to plant some fruits in our back and front yard. One of them is jackfruits. It took 4 years when it matured and give us fruits. The fruits took 3 to 8 months the complete maturity and ripening of the fruits.
Our latest harvested sweet riped jackfruit.
This is how it grows as time passed by quickly. I couldn't imagine how it was planted and now became fruitful.
There are so many fruits in one tree. We use the fruit either ripe or unripe.
We harvested it when we smelled fragrance from the fruit. It means, it is already exactly ripe.
It is so big and heavy for almost 15 to 20 kilos.
My driver cuts it and removes the jackfruit meat from the body.
My husband helps him to avoid falling to the ground. We had a good time when we harvested it. We stayed on the ground and ate some parts. The rest, we decided it to our neighborhood and relatives.
I just imagine if all people learned the benefits of planting, everyone should have the harvest. There is no need to buy in the market.
Benefits of jackfruits
Carotenoids, the pigments that give jackfruit its yellow color, are high in vitamin A. Like all antioxidants, carotenoids protect cells from damage and help your body work right. They may help prevent diseases like cancer and heart disease, as well as eye problems like cataracts and macular degeneration.

Stay on the safe side and avoid use. Allergy to birch pollen or latex: Some people who are allergic to birch pollen or latex might also be allergic to jackfruit. Diabetes: Jackfruit might lower blood sugar levels. There is a concern that it might affect blood sugar control in people with diabetes.

I encourage everyone to plant because one day when it bears fruit, you can't understand the feeling of having your harvest. You can sell it if you don't like to eat successively. It is easy to plant and it grows in a tropical place. Planting trees help the sicked mother earth. I did it not only because of the fruit we harvest. There are so many reasons to be considered.
There are times that we made a jackfruit jam and use it as a sandwich spread.
I am proud to be a farmer and a teacher as well.

Ang laki ng langka! I would binge eat jackfruit if I didn't know my stomach would be upset if I ate too much. 😅 Sarap pag matamis at medyo 'crunchy' yung laman. 😋
