in OCD5 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone

Hope you all are well in this pandemic situation.

As the pandemic hits hard the whole world, everyone is bound to stay at home to make sure of everyone's safety.
I also staying at home for the last 3 months and it has become too much difficult.
Everyone is trying to do something exceptional in their own accord staying at home.

As I live in a family with my parents and 3 sisters, I normally don't go to the kitchen. All the cooking stuffs are done by my mother or sisters.
But, during my staying at home at this time, I got interested to cook something for the very first time.
That's why I tried to cook a kind of sweetmeat called 'Jilapi' in the Indian subcontinent.
It is a crispy sweetmeat which is too much delicious.
Now I m sharing with you all how I cooked it.

Everything I used: 4 cups of flour, 1.5 teaspoons of baking soda, 2 cups of water, 1 pinch of saffron, half a teaspoon of rose water, oil for frying. The sweet syrup will need 4 cups of water, 6 cups of sugar.

Method: I Mixed flour, saffron, rose water and baking soda together and then mixed well with a little water. I Left it for 10/15 minutes, took the mixture in a thick cloth, made a thin hole and fry it in small pan with hot oil. I Made sweet syrup by mixing water and sugar together. Then I grate it and squeezed the juice.

Everyone liked it and I was successful as a first-timer.

Hope you will try it and enjoy it to eat.

Thanks to all...
