A beautiful painting recommendation on Youtube

in OCDlast month (edited)

Hello people!

Today we change the topic, simply because I would like to share with you something nice that I really liked on Youtube. There on that platform we find thousands of interesting channels, and by chance I saw a video of a painting channel that captivated me. A channel where they teach how to paint lovely pictures of charming landscapes mainly with a curious technique but with a beautiful style, and great art.

It is about the channel:

Jay Lee Painting (Youtube channel)

A talented artist who shows his artworks and the process through which he creates them as a tutorial or simply to inspire us, or to leave us speechless. I like all the paintings I've seen that he's painted, and that's even though, at first you don't know how they're going to turn out or what he's even going to paint. Sometimes it's a surprise, and the end of the videos are always a visual wonder that really impresses.

Original technique

What caught my attention at first, just by looking at the thumbnail of some of the videos that the platform recommends, was the tool used to paint. It changes and sometimes he helps himself with a comb, a scouring pad, a brush, crumpled aluminum foil, cotton with a clothespin, even a toothbrush, a spoon or a fork!

Then we see that he usually uses the same type of paint, acrylic paint cans of different colors. And he always starts by putting thick drops or drops with lines of different colors on the canvas, creating a color scheme that he understands and on which he works.
Then, with a brush, he spreads the paint, and then the homemade tool that he uses to give an impressionist touch to the painting comes into action, making a kind of delicate "stippling", creating an effect that already resembles the final landscape that he will give us...

An incredible process

We love the process itself, because the whole video is accompanied by soft and harmonious classical piano music that makes watching the video more relaxing, inspiring and almost magical.

He starts by putting the paint on the canvas in a deliberate way, sometimes in drops and sometimes in lines. And he changes colors depending on the painting he has in mind, except that we still don't know what he is going to paint.

Then he spreads the paint with the brush as if they were simple blots of various colors, but everything has a meaning, which we will discover later.

But you can add your touch with any normal utensil that we have at home, a simple brush can help create those magical fairy tale landscapes. This is how the background takes shape.

Then the details begin, giving us clues as to what the painting will look like. With a brush he makes black lines that will be the trunks of the trees in a dream forest.

One detail that she usually does is sprinkle white paint, magical dots that give a special touch to all the beautiful paintings.

He continues painting more details, an infinite path that gives him more perspective, as if looking at the painting takes us to another world...

And one of the things I like the most is that he uses a lot of cotton buds, the ones for the ears, which he soaks in more paint, and with them he gives a wonderful effect to her works. Colored dots that evoke small flowers and beautiful details, which he creates with delicate touches.

Also, as the landscape appears, he uses other curious elements. With a cotton ball attached to a clothespin, she creates fantastic effects of rays of light that pass through that beautiful pink forest.

We already love it, and there are just a few more details left, a few more dots of flying petals, or magical colored dots that make the artistic work more special, with a wonderful and unique style.

And that's it, the final result is... amazing!

Many more!

And this is just one example, there are many, thousands! I haven't seen them all, but I have seen many because it's like an addiction, and the visual experience is pleasant and with relaxing music even more so. And although the style and techniques are the same, the types of paintings and colors are not, there are many more, but in the end they are all beautiful.

I keep discovering more and I like them, I like them all, I like the good taste he has, his skill, his originality and those beautiful paintings he paints, those beautiful images he gives us, in a world where more inspiration, art and beauty are really needed. So I hope you also like this beautiful recommendation!

Thanks for reading! Have a creative and nice day.

Que talentoso! Vi una técnica similar en las calles de Valparaíso cuando era joven, con menos herramientas y sin pinceles (creo) pero lograba un terminado impresionante.
