Learn from Akinlami
Long time ago
There was a man Named Akinlami, he was a warrior, well recognized as a war hero, we was the war Lord of his community then,
Akinlami lives in a community called Odogbolu close to Abeokuta Ogun state Nigeria, he was famous for his war skills and charms he uses during war, Akinlami fights in a war without back up, he was a warrior respected by everybody within then, whenever the neighboring villages are in trouble, they sort for him, he help them wage war and they always win, he gets gold and silver in return
Days upon days, Months upon Months, years upon years
Apart from being respected
Akinlami became Rich, he was extremely blessed than any other person in the community even the villages head has nothing compared to Akinlami's wealth
Akinlami feared nobody and became rude to all authorities, as he felt, without him the community will become slaves in foreign lands

One a faithful day, the king's maid were bringing in the king's entitlements from the farm to the king store, Akinlami held them hostage and said
"I protect you and not the king, if the king is filling his store, so shall I", immediately the people around alerted the king, then he was summoned
The king ordered the release of the maids and scolded Akinlami for such misconduct, then Akinlami repeated the same statement in from of the king, then he told the king 2 options,
- either for him to leave the community and allow Invaders to enslave them
Or - he receives same entitlements with the king
The king of the people had to protect his people and he agreed to the offer after alot of deliberations
Few months later, Akinlami's greed rose up a thousand folds, as there was peace all over, no war for him to fight, he started seizing people's property, having sex with other people's wife, and committed a lot of atrocities even more worst than being invaded
Then the king said to himself
"Akinlami requested for king's entitlements to protect my people, I gave him, yet he is worst than the Invaders, I have to let go off him"
Then the villagers, chiefs and the king made a plan to drag him down
Akinlami is a lover of corn, because of his lust for women, a lady was sent to disguise as a corn seller to seduce him
Things worked as planned, as the lady hawked past Akinlami's house, he called her and told her to have sex with him, the lady agreed, they went inside, while on mat (local bed then) the lady asked Akinlami to tell him what made him so powerful that no one can conquer him, because the lady Placed Akinlami on that Condition before having sex with her
Akinlami was really impatient as he saw the lady to be armless and knows he was in the mood
He told her
"The major reason why I win battle is because, whenever I am in battle, there is a padlock in my power house that must not be locked, if it got locked, I am doomed
The lady let her in and they had fun, the lady reported to the King, and they made plans and sent a war notice to their antagonist community,
On the day of the war, Akinlami stood up as usual, with full confidence and went to battle alone, not knowing the entire king's cabinet was in his power house, they waited for Akinlami to kill the majority of their enemies before they locked the padlock, Akinlami was captured by the few soldiers remaining, then the king sent out his own army, they went and conquered the fortress, already Akinlami has been injured and was at point of death
They brought Akinlami to the palace and people mocked him and told him the reason of his downfall
Then Akinlami said to himself, I'll rather die in a foreign land than to die in the hands of my people, immediately he turned to rabbit and enter to the bush, he was never found among the living
He became an animal
Lesson
Never think all power lies within you, people might be in need of you presently, but remember, if you ain't there, they will source for another means
Be Alive while you're Alive, that is be useful while you're alive
Don't be rude to constituted authority
