I enjoyed this Acehnese food when I was in my hometown in the province of Aceh, we called it Kelapa Muda and Manisan. This is one way to consume young coconuts which are a little hard (old). Our parents taught it that way, and until now that's how we consume it in Aceh.

For the people of Aceh, this might not be new, but it seems I have to explain a little more in detail about this young coconut and sweets.

Candied fruit is the result of fermented coconut water which has been allowed to stand for approximately 3-4 months. After the fermentation and incubation period is complete, the sweets are still undergoing the next process, they are cooked until they emit a reddish-red scent. At first glance, it looks like cooked palm sugar, but of course, it's different.

The following are the pictures that I captured this afternoon about young coconut and sweets which became one of the foods - snacks that made this tongue want to taste it again.
