Introducing Myself – Goodness Nneoma Ezike to the Hive Community

in OCDlast month

Hello everyone! I'm excited to join the Hive community and share my story with you.

Who I Am
My name is Goodness Nneoma Ezike, and I was born on Friday, March 8, 2002. I am the eldest of four siblings, with two sisters and a brother. Growing up, I learned the value of responsibility and leadership early on, which has shaped my journey in many ways.

My Educational Journey
My education started at Kings Kids Academy, Enugu. However, my family moved back to Aba, Abia State, when my mother was transferred, so I completed my nursery education at Lizzy International School. From there, I enrolled at Victory Early Learning Center in 2007, where I laid a strong foundation for my academic journey.

After five years, I wrote my First School Leaving Certificate exams and transitioned to secondary school. I initially continued at the secondary arm of my school but had to transfer after JSS1 due to a decline in academic quality. I then moved to Praise El International Schools in JSS2, and adjusting to the new environment was quite challenging. Being an ambivert, I struggled with socializing, and my small stature made me a target for teasing. However, I remained focused on my studies, and soon, I became the top student in my class and maintained that position until I graduated.

Senior secondary school was an eventful phase of my life. I had a deep love for Physics and Mathematics, taking extra lessons in both subjects. At the same time, I nurtured my passion for Literature, writing short stories of my own. In my final year, I made history as the first female school prefect of my school—a role I embraced with dedication, earning the respect of my teachers. I graduated with excellent grades in my Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE).

Higher Education and Career Path
After secondary school, I gained admission into Abia State Polytechnic to study Computer Science. Initially, I wasn’t too excited about it, as my dream was to study Mechanical Engineering. However, I decided to make the most of my situation. I poured myself into my studies and quickly became one of the top students in my class, excelling particularly in Mathematics and Statistics. I completed my National Diploma with a CGPA of 3.78 out of 4.

For my Industrial Training (IT), I first worked as a Literature teacher in a secondary school before securing a role at LAPO Microfinance Bank. After my IT, I returned to school for my Higher National Diploma (HND). It was during my third year that I decided to specialize in a field of Information Technology—UI/UX Design. I enrolled in online courses on Coursera and began my journey as a self-taught designer. The road was tough, but I remained committed and kept learning.

After graduating with a CGPA of 3.48 out of 4, I fully transitioned into UI/UX design. Today, I work as a UI/UX designer and freelancer, contributing to various industries and digital products.

My Interests and Passions
Beyond my career, I have a strong passion for:

Reading & Writing: I love immersing myself in books and crafting my own stories.

Fitness & Jogging: I enjoy jogging to stay fit and plan to hit the gym soon to achieve the toned physique I admire.

Music: Whether I’m working or jogging, music is always with me—it keeps me inspired and motivated.

Design & User Experience: I am deeply passionate about improving digital experiences and making technology more user-friendly.

Crypto & Trading: I have a growing interest in cryptocurrency and hope to learn more about trading in the future.
