LOVE: Six Months of Being Married to My Instagram Love.

in OCD3 days ago

Hello Hive Families, I don't know how and where to start expressing how happy and blessed I am today. Looking at the beauty photos from my wedding I am in awe. Today marks exactly the sixth month I got married to my loving and kind Husband (my Instagram love), and in the past 6months of being a wife I have learned, unlearned and had to relearn so many things. One of the major things I have learned is "Not to Judge everyone the same way", I unlearned "having to expect things done my way and also at my own time" and I relearned "how to love over again regardless".

My husband hasn't just been a blessing but a support system to me. We have been working hard since we got married. We also embarked on a Renovation Project 3 months ago and it is good to say it is a success already. The period taught us many things, and of all we’ve learned that God's Timing is truly the Best. We are grateful to God for the gift of family, friendships, and wonderful communities God has blessed me with including our church' CCI global. I have the best inlaws ever! No cap!

I remember just like yesterday when He asked me to be his wife, I am still in a choke not because he proposed to me but how the plan was actualized. Let me give you the background story; I travelled to visit him in Port Harcourt and before I visited, one of the wonderful sisters I had met in PH her name is Gloria, and she is a makeup artist, she reached out to me that she has a program she has been willing to host, Its about women in Business, sharing our growth stories and how we overcome challenge in business and life generally. Immediately I heard that; I said YES to it, I mean I love my career and I would love to share my story. I didn't know this was a plan with my husband. I got to PH and I prepared my note. On that faithful day, Gloria called me that I needed to be at her studio for makeup that every speaker has to look their best, I also got a dress from my husband's friend who is a fashion designer, she claimed it was a gift from my husband to support my first speaking event. Everything was set, and lo and behold we got to the venue. At one point I was confused because I called my husband to show him how I looked, he wasn't picking rather he requested that we text. I was surprised because he was supposed to be home. We stepped into the venue and saw my husband on his knees, I was shocked, I didn't see it coming, I screamed, I was speechless. To think I had told him not to stress himself with planning any proposal. It was truly a beautiful experience for me. We had an evening dinner after, this man had invited all our mutual friends to join us in celebrating. I couldn't be more grateful. I love every part of the proposal event.

Now we are married, we are growing in love, forgiveness, understanding, and God's purpose for our lives. One day when it gets hard, we pray and on smooth days we pray. We are one and hence we fight and grow together. Our Home is God's Own and so we do according to God's will. We pray that our love gets stronger daily, obeys the will of God, and a proof of God's Covenant. (Amen)
