In India the UPI payments with QR code are very famous and friendly to transact without much delay and without adding the Beneficiary. The payer need UPI compatible app and bank account liked to the app to make the transaction. The similar functionality is now available on Hive Blockchain also.
The Hivrkeychain also provided the similar service. The users can generate the QR code for a fixed amount and the QR code may be scanned with hivekeychain app to make the transaction. The transaction took 3 seconds only on Hive blockchain to get confirmation. The QR code will be useful got the business, donations and supporters.

Very useful for error free payment as this will prevent the error by manual username entry. As you says in video the QR code is generated is for fixed amount, may be developers will add the manual entry of payment amount also in coming days.
UPI required the scanning the code and them manually enter of the amount but here the amount is fixed when generating the QR code. One option is generate the multiple QR codes with different amounts but it is not a best solution as the payer has to make multiple payments.
Hope the manual payment entry will be next addition in the development.

Sometimes, when I have to make a payment with Google Play, Paytm sure likes to use QR code instead of account or number. I think it is a most trusted way and here be very less for errors or making mistakes. Sure it is a good thing especially for hive user that keychain is providing QR code for payment. Till now I have not tried this function but with the time I will use it.
