Gardevoir is coming to the Pokémon Unite MOBA

Just arriving on Nintendo Switch, the free-to-play MOBA game Pokémon Unite already receives a new playable character. It is therefore the Pokémon Gardevoir which joins the cast of 20 creatures already available in the game as announced by the official Twitter account of the title.

After being leaked during the beta of the game, the arrival of Gardevoir was not long in coming.

This Ranged Attacker-type Pokémon is therefore available for purchase in the title's in-game store. It will cost you 8,000 Aeos coins, or 460 Aeos Gems, to acquire the license of the character and use it in part. Other Pokémon are also available for purchase from the in-game store such as Pikachu and Jigglypuff.
Gardevoir is first and foremost a top offensive option - but you'll have to be careful with your defense and stamina, which is particularly weak compared to other fighters like Ronlfex. A video has been uploaded to the official Pokémon Unite Twitter account showing its special in-game techniques.

Welcome to the island of Æos! Here, Pokémon are more powerful and have enhanced abilities that Trainers around the world use during Unit Battles.

Take part in 5v5 battles to determine who will score the most points within the time limit. Each player controls a Pokémon that falls into one of the five available categories: Attacker, Fast, Versatile, Defender, and Support. Want to cause damage? So choose an Attacker! Do you prefer to help your teammates? Support Pokémon are then made for you!

KO wild Pokémon to evolve your Pokémon partner and collect bone energy. Drop this energy on one of the objectives in the opposing area to earn points for your team, and KO the opposing team's Pokémon to prevent them from scoring points. Cooperate as a team and join forces to achieve victory!

Pokémon Unite is currently available for download on Nintendo Switch. A release on Android and iOS is expected for next September.
