Hello friends on HIVE, I have been inactive for some months here, there are reasons for this, it's not my wish to stay away for that long but when the condition warrants it, we have to give it away but I'm back now and I can't wait to take my activeness more seriously here. Oh! Before I forget, I have an interesting publication to share with you today.
An Unfelt Presence
Oftentimes, it appears we are disconnected from our very own, which may be true or not, but measuring it can give an 80% of disconnection. Truly, we are off but the conclusion on this matter depends on what perspective the relationship was viewed from. I have been inactive here for months but I am still very around reading and learning more, my presence was not felt during these times.
The Source of the Image
To the rest of the community here, I was inactive but if you are closer to me you will know I was active during those periods. My inactivity was caused due to my bad device, I have written about these cases in some of my articles before I went off. During those time, the device was so weak that I can't even write for long.
My inactive on Hive has a bit of similar case with my story and a friend of mine when I was in college. I have this friend I met in the first year on campus, she's Priscilla, we were very close and sometimes go to school together. We met one other lady too, Deola, who became our intimate friends and we all do many things together.
Many students in our department loved our relationship and everyone wished they could have such a good friendship, we were happy together during those days. In our third year in school, Priscilla cut off from us and we would only meet seldomly, she doesn't look for us any longer and keeps another company entirely.
We would be waiting for Priscilla where she was so that we can head to the campus together but she would tell us she's left already. Then, we said to ourselves, such is life! We believe Priscilla has found a better company than us and we let go that way.
On One of our last days on campus when everybody have finished their projects, we met our old-time friends and greeted them. I saw her project document in her hand that day and I asked her to allow me to have a look at her project. I opened it and on the acknowledgment page, she acknowledged me and Deola as one of her sole contributors to achieving her dream.
My heart melted when I saw this but I asked her why has she deserted us, she told me Deola and I easily understand class work, and she added that sometimes she feels inferior to us that's why she decided to move on to another group of average students like her so that they can grow together. I told her that's not an excuse, we have been friends and the best she could have done is let us know and we can work on growing together.
On this day, tears roll down my cheeks because I had a heart conversation with my old time, lovely friend. She let us know though it seems she was far away from us but yet she has us in her heart every day. This story is related to my inactive on the hive, though I was not active when people can see me I am always checking posts from different people here, and now. I got a new mobile phone recently and I am back to explore more on Hive.
Bottomline
Sometimes, our presence is not felt by our loved ones or associates who later assumed we have moved on without them but there is a reason why we have stayed away, the best we could have done during those time is to let them know we are them just that some things have set us apart a little bit. I'm very happy to be back and more of me would be seen here.
