Easypeasy: Malai Khajaa

Yesterday 23rd march we are Celebrating Pakistan day and on this auspicious occasion we 32 Pakistani bloggers from all around the world are bringing to you 32 different dishes from the different places of Pakistan.
As no matter where ever we are living “Phir bhi dil hai Pakistani”

Ingredients:

For the dough:
Ghee 7 tablespoons
Water 100 ml
Flour 250 grams (1 + 1/2 cup)

By mixing all Make a hard dough, because hard dough always make the crispy khajaas.

Take two small portion from this dough add few drops of green and red color separately in the two portions.

For the fillings:
Khoya 1 cup
Mixed nuts 2-3 tablespoons
Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon

Mix all together and make some small balls from it.

For the syrup:
Sugar 1 + 1/2 cup
Water 1 cup
Cardamoms 2-3

cook on a medium flame and make a syrup from it.

Method:

• Flat the white dough on a flat surface, flat the green and red part of the dough separately.

• Put the red and green dough part on the white dough applied some water to stick on it.

• Spread the ghee and cornflour paste on it and make a tight roll. Cover and Rest it for 10 minutes.

• Marks on the roll and Cut the same.

• Now mark the cut vertically.

• Spread it with your palm of the hands.

• Take one piece, Put the fillings (small balls of khoya and nuts) in the Center and cover it with another. Sealed the edges.

• Fry it on a medium flame until crispy golden from both sides.

Apply some sugar syrup on it with spoon. Don’t dip it in the syrup otherwise it will soft and gooey.
