Here in Cebu, Philippines, we have been organizing our monthly Hive Orientation (in person) to our guests and friends for the past months in support of OCD's Onboarding Program. From our recent meet-up, we decided to arrange a virtual meeting to cater to those who were not able to join us on that day.

PREPARATIONS
As always, together with @glecerioberto and @ybanezkim26, we do our preparations on the day of the event. 😂. We rely on the wisdom we have gained from the past months although we did decide to meet up ahead of time to discuss what to do. But we ended freediving the whole time we were together.
But rest assured, we made a few decisions on how to go about with the virtual event. One thing was to limit the number of people joining; meaning only the onboarders with invites were allowed to join. For me, this was important so that it will be manageable for us organizers and speakers since this was our first time to conduct the Hive orientation virtually.
On the day of our virtual meet-up, I made a visual presentation using Canva and shared it with my fellow speakers 30 minutes before the actual event 😂. Well, we were prepared in some way although we had some technical issues too... Good thing, @ybanezkim26 and @glecerioberto managed to record our virtual event from their end.

We had 9 guests & 8 Hivers so a total of 17 people at this event. Thank you to all those who joined us!
PROGRAM FLOW
First, our speakers and other Hivers quickly introduced themselves followed by our invites. Then we followed this with the discussion about Hive Basics c/o @glecerioberto and all about OCD and its programs c/o @ybanezkim26.
After that, I shared my Hive journey to give a bit of inspiration to our guests. Then we followed this with @Peakd navigation, how to write a blog, and lastly, a Q&A portion on the last part.
AFTERMATH AND FEEDBACK
The whole virtual orientation took us 2 hours in total, the same time it always takes us if we do it face-to-face. On our next Hive orientation, we will try to trim down the time so that we would finish up early. 😅 @romeski informed me that she liked how detailed and fun our virtual meet-up was. @queenbella29 have also made her introduction post after that.

Oh, it was indeed successful @bammbuss! Our main purpose for doing such things is being able to share Hive's greatness to others.
The thing with virtual meet-ups is that you can be anywhere and still join (assuming the place has a good internet connection). I had fun doing this (in Malapascua)! Dapat naa tay saba kada meet-up like Jannus and Michael para lingaw. 😂
We're getting these orientations more smoothly already. I'm excited about our next meet-up and the new Hivers we're onboarding! 😁

Great work guys, and sounds like a great idea to keep the numbers down a bit to keep it informal and intimate so newbies would be afraid to ask questions. Hope you continue to do these sessions and onboard more people
