One of the most rewarding experiences is when one's post serves as the catalysist that sparks lively discuission and facilitates a cross pollination of ideas that cullminate in the intellectual enrichment of all involved. Equally rewarding is where there is a sense that people may not agree with every point of view presented but come to conclude that having entertained differing views has broadened their own perspecives and made them a bit wiser. Accordingly, one can perhaps take a bit of satisfaction in the knowledge that a healthy market of ideas has been established and may flourish.
