Adjust the controls of the time machine just as the universe began.
Theoretically, I could fall into an infinite loop and lose myself in the process, but imagine, being when everything started or corroborating that it always was, is, and will be. Maybe I'll be surprised and never come back.
I don't think I'd ever come back if I was to have a time machine at my disposal.

@galenkp, surely you would go through the different times to collect the best weapons in history. Imagine what you would find in the future.
That's certainly something I would do...I'd have an extensive library too as I'd pick up some of the most difficult books to get and bring them back.
Yes..! A good place would be the Alexandria library, I recommend taking a scanner because it may be too heavy for the time machine. LOL
