Hello everyone, my name is Jaysen Sordum Barikpoa with the username @jaysensordum and I’m really excited to be here on the hive (ecency) platform. I’m a citizen of Nigeria, the most populous black nation in the world. I’m from Rivers State, in Nigeria, I was born in Port Harcourt the capital city of Rivers State where I currently reside.
I was introduced to the Hive community by my friend and colleague @zestimony, who has been speaking glowingly of this amazing platform.
MORE ABOUT ME
I’m from a family of 5 me being the second child and son. I’m a jovial person. I love it when my jokes put smiles on people’s faces. When time permits I host occasions as Master of Ceremony (MC).
As for my educational qualification, I am a Microbiology graduate from a higher institution in Nigeria. Though I enjoyed studying microbes, however, my love for technology is stronger which is why I am presently building a career in Technology.
Presently I am an upcoming Front-End developer and a professional graphic designer. Graphic design has actually been a very useful skill in my journey into web development.
Circularly I work as an educational content creator for Cinfores Limited, a freelance educational researcher for Study Hub, a freelance graphic designer and as a front-end web developer.
OTHER INTERESTS AND HOBBIES
Due to my love for tech, I spent lots of time on the internet researching and reading about emerging technologies, especially web and green technologies.
I also love nature quite a lot and I love being in a green environment. It has a calming effect on me and fosters creativity. Being in a natural environment allows me the opportunity to partake in another interest and hobby of mine, and that is photography.
I love taking pictures of the environment either natural or artificial, though I prefer the natural environment and the surrounding ecosystem.
I love football (soccer), I watch football matches a lot and ensure I play football whenever my schedule permits it. I love movies especially sci-fi movies, that’s why am a big fan of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). I love food just like most people, though, I’m not a glutton. I also love music, though I have a terrible voice, I sing quite a lot (especially when I’m taking my bath and when no one is around to remind me how terrible my voice is.).
Do I love games? Yes, I do, I play FIFA and PES when my schedule permits it.
WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON HIVE SO FAR………
I’ve spent a few weeks reading and surfing through the contents on this platform and I’ve found some interesting handles (users) such as @geekgirl, @josediccus and @livinguktaiwan with wonderfully curated contents which have added to my knowledge.
So far, I’ve seen that unlike many social media platforms, which are careless about users’ privacy and authenticity of the content posted. The Hive (Ecency) platform care more about the privacy of its users and the authenticity of content shared/posted.
Contents are also highly educative, interactive and tailored towards improving the community.
Posts from handles/accounts such as @starstrings01 and @castleberry have been like a tour guide and helping me to get acclimatised to the hive platform.
I’m earnestly looking forward to increasing my knowledge by learning new things on this amazing platform and networking with the brilliant minds on this platform while sharing well researched and quality content in the various communities here.
