Cliff Jumping At Kawasan Falls

I am a nature and adventure lover! And one of the best adventures with nature that I ever experienced was when I had a cliff jumping at Kawasan Falls level 2 which is around 20 meters high.

BEFORE CLIFF JUMPING

I have visited Kawasan Falls three times already. During my first visit, I really had the urge to try cliff jumping and I had my first cliff jumping on a lower cliff in between levels 1 and 2 which is just about 6 meters.

Then on my 2nd visit, I was very eager to try to jump on the best spot for cliff jumping which is on level 2. At first, I thought that I wouldn’t be able to fulfill my adventure fantasy as my companions don’t have the same adventure interest similar to me.

I was just trying to enjoy swimming in the deep natural pool in level 2 together with my friends. But deep inside, I feel envy seeing someone who had enjoyed jumping on the cliff. I would just look above and watch those adventure lovers from below.

But upon watching those who were cliff jumping, I have heard from a group of people that they are planning to go above the cliff and try it as well. During that instance, my introverted self seems to vanish as I approached and told them if I can go with them too. Without hesitation, they said yes!

TREKKING TO THE CLIFF

I told my friends that I’m going to try cliff jumping and they’re quite worried. I was worried too especially that I just know how to swim (I really don’t know if I’m just brave or stupid. LOL). But by the power of life jacket, I convinced myself that everything’s gonna be okay and if I’m gonna die, then be it. (Now I’m convinced, I’m not brave…I’m stupid. Hehehe).

We had a 10 minutes trekking going above the spot for cliff jumping. The road was rough and I remembered that I trekked on barefoot. While trekking, I was chasing my breath as I was not used to it. But still, I really had fun and I felt ecstatic when we almost reach the spot.

When we reached the top of the cliff, we have to be extra careful because the water is flowing down and it’s really a slipping hazard.

As we were on the cliff jumping spot, my companions had backed out as they realized that the cliff is too high. I also felt hesitation at first because it looks scary when you’re already above and you’re able to see how high the cliff really is.

But because I’m silly, I told them that I’m pushing through. While holding the Go Pro that I borrowed from my friend, I carefully positioned myself to jump. I wasn’t really comfortable because my other hand must make sure that it’s still able to hold the Go Pro upon jumping while my other hand also made sure to squeeze my nose so that less water will get inside it.

What did I feel when I was already in the air? I initially regret my decision because the feeling of being in the air seems to be forever! Hahaha. But as my body has plunged into the water, it was very satisfying! The regrets were gone and I thanked God that I did it!

Until now, I can still feel the excitement, thrill, and satisfying experience that I have with that adventure. It’s truly one of the best experiences that I had and I’m gonna treasure it for the rest of my life.
