Greetings! I hope you're all doing well. I'm excited to share a bit about myself and attempt to recount the eventful night where I met lots of crypto / NFT heads in Gemu KL, and eventually, found this community. Thank you @lovesniper for bringing me out of my comfort zone.

My Journey as a Programmer
Programming was my addiction. I remember back in 2015, I would sleep at 12am and wake up at 5am to learn how to code an android app, for a week straight. Java is my first ever programming language and boy, I thought the learning curve was steep until I was introduced to ReactJS in 2016. Let's rewind to 2015 after I have successfully deployed my first android app onto the Google App Store, and showed it to my friends. It was a very crude and simple Tic-Tac-Toc app with the option to play against a player or a computer. Coincidentally, I met my high school friend who was studying in London, won a startup pitching competition and got a grant. He invited me to be part of his team even though I had maybe 2 weeks worth of coding experience. Although the startup (code name aBoard) project wasn't successful, I am thankful to be part of the team and formed unbreakable friendships.
ps: I couldn't find a picture of all of us together in the startup. Our media shares were all about work
CanLaw Colleagues
Fast forward to after they have pronounced the startup (aBoard) dead in 2016, I enrolled in Software Eng Bsc in Malaysia and started doing freelance web development projects, while working in a local startup called CanLaw (also deceased). It was a lawyer discovery platform, which rubbed our Bar Council the wrong way because they consider it touting.
After CanLaw, I was scouted by my ex-boss when I was deploying a website for my client (also his client). He invited me to join the company on a part-time basis while I was completing my Bsc degree. I did my internship there, and stayed on as a full-time employee after that.
KL Team - Google Cloud Partnered Company
Software Engineer | Full Stack System Developer | Google Cloud Certified Data Engineer
These are some of my professional titles when I was still an employee in a Google Cloud Partnered company. However, my programming journey started way before I enrolled in a Software Engineering degree. I left the company around October of 2020 and went into crypto a few months after. I got burned hard 🙂
This is my cozy little work station. I have added another monitor on the left side to make work more efficient... Okay, it's more so I can work, and watch some TV on the side. Is anyone into computer setups here? HMU
Gathering of Crypto / NFT friends
That's me standing and my crypto buddies
I was invited to a gathering of alcoholics people interested in crypto, and there was where I met Joanne. We met up to exchange ideas about trading crypto and crypto projects that are interesting. One of which is Hive and the extensive list of fully functioning projects on Hive. The more research I do on Hive, the more hooked I am. I am truly thankful to Joanne for this introduction.
Sorry Joanne. Mercy please😬@joannewong in her prime.
Thanks for reading thus far. The post is getting lengthy. So I'll talk about my interests and hobbies in the next few posts. I look forward to making new friends here. See you in the cryptoverse! Please leave a comment if you would like to connect
