From what I understand during peeking into the Discord every now and then, the wallet on hive.blog is not yet active. However, it is on peakd.com which is the Hive equivalent of SteemPeak.
I don't think all wallet features are active yet. For example: I don't want to risk changing my passwords for a few more days until things have settled, nor do I want to risk converting HBD to HIVE yet.
But it's fine for claiming rewards and seeing your wallet intact.

Peakd is working very well! :) I haven't tried hive.blog at all yet simply because I got so used to the Peak interface.
With Peakd, when you log in for the first time you should use their PeakLock system - you pop in your private posting key, active key, and then a PIN number. The PIN number is how you'll access things from then on. It's a lot more user friendly!! I can't recommend it enough. You should hopefully have no more problems. 😊
