Since I was a child I was passionate about science and when looking up at the stars I felt a deep, almost religious epiphany. Stargazing had an effect on my brain of deep imagination and since then I began to develop science fiction stories specifically from the space opera genre. They were of course naive tales of a curious child.
My name is Isaac Kruznik, I am 33 years old and I was also known by my pseudonym kruznik on steemit. I’ve written science fiction stories on that platform and even made a comic with a talented cartoonist. I’ve tried to introspectively investigate the very existence of the human being and why we are here. I’ve gone through stages in my life loaded with a deep nihilism that I’ve tried to discard because I think life has to be lived with passion towards what one wants to do, in my case writing.
Desde pequeño me apasionaba la ciencia y al mirar hacia las estrellas sentía una profunda epifanía casi religiosa. El hecho de contemplar las estrellas producía un efecto en mi cerebro de profunda imaginación y desde entonces empecé a desarrollar historias de ciencia ficción específicamente del genero space opera. Eran por supuesto ingenuos relatos de un niño curioso.
Mi nombre es Isaac Kruznik, tengo 33 años y también fui conocido por mi seudónimo kruznik en steemit. He escrito relatos de ciencia ficción en dicha plataforma e incluso elabore un comic con un talentoso dibujante. He tratado de indagar de manera introspectiva la misma existencia del ser humano y del porque estamos aquí. He pasado por etapas en mi vida cargadas de un profundo nihilismo que he intentado desechar debido a que pienso que la vida hay que vivirla con pasión hacia lo que uno desea hacer, en mi caso escribir.
I have also dedicated part of my time writing stories that are more realistic, raw and charged with emotional intensity. I like the way the right words can influence people and fill their spirit or at least leave a message in subtle ways. Some of my stories have been warlike, drama, or simple reality.
Many times I try to vent a bit of my anger by learning about the injustices that happen in this world through my non-fiction writing. Social criticism and even subversive because I’ve grown up in a country with blatant corruption and an authoritarian government that doesn’t allow ideas to be expressed.
It’s in this type of environment that dystopias, decadence and misused technology are born. Reading the pillars of this genre such as A Brave New World, 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 made me understand many things since this government was implanted with a mask that all of us who live in Venezuela soon discovered.
The creative process gradually died, education in general terms went into decline and the literary culture is almost extinct in this country, but the desire to fight for space where to express my ideas, my stories and to be able to share the creative process that revolves around this type of community gives me the necessary strength to continue writing.
También he dedicado parte de mi tiempo a escribir historias mas realistas, crudas y cargadas de intensidad emocional. Me gusta la manera en como las palabras adecuadas pueden influenciar a las personas y llenarles el espíritu o por lo menos dejar un mensaje de manera sutil. Algunos de mis relatos han sido de corte bélico, drama o simple realidad.
Muchas veces trato de descargar un poco de mi ira al conocer las injusticias que suceden en este mundo a través de mis escritos de no ficción. Criticas sociales e incluso subversivas debido a que he crecido en país con una corrupción descarada y un gobierno autoritario que no deja expresar ideas.
Es en este tipo de entorno donde nacen las distopias, la decadencia y la tecnología mal usada. Leer los pilares de este genero como lo son Un mundo Feliz, 1984 y Fahrenheit 451 me hizo entender muchas cosas desde que este gobierno se implanto con una mascara que luego pronto descubrimos todos los que vivimos en Venezuela.
El proceso creativo paulatinamente murió, la educación en términos generales entro en decadencia y la cultura literaria esta casi extinta en este país, pero las ganas de luchar por un espacio en donde expresar mis ideas, mis historias y poder compartir el proceso creativo que gira en torno a este tipo de comunidades me da la fuerza necesaria para seguir escribiendo.

Reviewing both books and movies has been a pleasure for me since the social media boom began. I try to decipher the works from the perspective that the writer or director wanted to tell us, what is the concept? What's behind all these lyrics or scenes? Many works have a philosophical, emotional, and even transcendental aspect. I try to occupy my time feeding on these works.
My science fiction tastes include Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, William Gibson, Ray Bradbury, Neal Stephenson, Ian Leckie, Ursula K. Leguin, and many others. As for literature in general, I am a big fan of FIodor Dostoevsky. José Saramago, Jorge Luis Borges, Santiago Posteguillo, León Tolstoi and a long etc.
Paré de escribir por un par de años, simplemente no tenía nada que escribir, así como lo dijo en una oportunidad el gran escritor portugués José Saramago, luego en unos años se convirtió en un premio nobel. Sin embargo, yo no tengo semejante pretensión, pero si deseo compartir el mejor contenido posible con ustedes.
Reseñar tanto libros como películas ha sido un placer para mi desde que inició el boom de las redes sociales. Trato de descifrar las obras bajo la perspectiva de que deseó decirnos el escritor o el director, ¿Cuál es el concepto? ¿Qué hay tras todas estas letras o escenas? Muchas obras tienen un aspecto filosófico, emocional e incluso trascendental. Trato de ocupar mi tiempo alimentándome de dichas obras.
Entre mis gustos de ciencia ficción están Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, William Gibson, Ray Bradbury, Neal Stephenson, Ian Leckie, Ursula K. Leguin y entre muchos otros. Me apasiona la música y me considero bastante ecléctico en mis gustos. Escucho desde metal progresivo como jazz y música minimalista.
As you can see, arts in general terms is an intrinsic part of me, it is what I enjoy the most, writing and feeding on the works of others. I consider that the value of the artist is crucial in any society and at any time because it is something that stimulates us mentally and, in many cases, prompts us to materialize what was previously imagined, as Jules Verne did From the Earth to the Moon, which with his magic and quite an exact idea prompted many scientists to make a journey that many believed impossible.
I have always thought limits are self-imposed, we chain ourselves and most of the time our mind doesn’t play in our favor, but just at the moment we throw off these chains and strengthen our spirit by becoming resilient people is that we can do things we could never have imagined. Our brain is the most perfect machine we know so far, full of mysteries, but with an incredible power that we must take advantage of and one of the first steps is to know what our passion is and how far we want to go, it all depends on how strong our imagination is.
