Colorful bugs - Bergvennen

in OCD5 years ago (edited)

Last weekend we had some pretty nice weather over here in the Netherlands and I always like to have a walk in the forest when the sun is out. I just love the sound of the birds, the insects, the wind, the sun on my skin... It calms my mind and a big plus is that I get a little bit of exercise as well.

It had been a while since I took a walk in the forest. I don't like to walk by myself, so I was glad that @rubencress wanted to join me that day. I've been trying to take pictures with a regular camera a few times now but I'm still a big ass noob. That's why he lend out his older camera to me (again) so I could try to take some shots in nature. I find it very hard to remember what everything is called and how it exactly works, like shutter speed, ISO and diafragma. But the teacher is very patient with me, even though I get frustrated sometimes :p

We went to Bergvennen, which is a nature reserve close to Germany. We didn't have to walk very far, because there already were some camera-proof plants down the very first path we took. While Ruben was filming, I walked a bit further to a pine tree that I wanted to capture. It had some bright green berries in it, which I thought would look good on camera. Realizing later, when uploading the photographs, it didn't look that pretty at all... *sigh*. It really annoyed me that there was some kind of 'bump' in the photograph. I thought it was a branch that was sticking out or something. But when I zoomed in and had a closer look, I saw it were two colorful bugs! I guess this is what they call a lucky shot.

I took some more photographs that day, but first I have to find the courage to show those not-perfect-yet-photographs to the world. I hope you enjoyed!

Lots of love,
Dymph

What, you only posted this shot? Post the other ones as well! They look great

Haha, I will post them together in another post.

I think we get enough of the curated final product on Instagram, we want to see the dirty behind the scenes

There isn't anything dirty about unfortunately😂 I will post the other ones in a few days.

lol from my experience if you’re not getting your hands dirty you’re not doing it right 🤪
