New beauties vs old stuff

in OCD5 years ago

A while back I ordered new shoes and a bunch of other stuff from Zara. I immediately liked the shoes, but since I'm still going to school and I don't want to walk around in clothes that are too eye-catching, I doubted if I should keep them. I kept them in the box for over two weeks and tried them on every day to 'check' if they were worth keeping. Finally, after three weeks or so I made up my mind. Are you curious about if I added them to my shoe-stash? Look below;)

Clown shoes, cloggs, rain boots, what are those things?

It sounds like I'm talking about very colorful, weird clown shoes in the intro, but I can assure you that they are way more fancy than that. So to make things more clear: I have a shoe size 36 (US size 6) and those shoes are pointy, very pointy, which makes my feet look about two sizes bigger. I'm not sure if that's true though, but they do look bigger than when I wear not so pointy shoes. Anyway, I think it's time to shows you what I'm talking about:

Pretty in camel

You see? They are not so weird as I let you think they would look. Pretty brown boots, with a very pointy tip and a small heel. The upper part fits very tight around my ankle/leg, which makes it almost look and feel like a sock boot. The suede is very soft at the upper part and a little more rough at the front part. It gives it a natural look in combination with the camel color and I think it asks for natural colors in clothing to combine with as well.

Even more pretty combined with green

As I said, I wanted to create a natural, soft look with these boots. So I pulled out an older dress and much more older cardigan to realize that. They are both made from a green fabric, but the fabric and color (slightly) differ from each other which makes it more interesting to look at. Also, the dress and cardigan are both made from natural materials: wool and cotton/linen, which really helps to accomplish the natural look. Feeling a bit like a ranger in this dress and boots though, but the shoes don't stand out too much and they are almost as easy to combine as black shoes. All together I really like this outfit! Do you as well?

I hope joy enjoyed reading a fashion-tail again after a long time. I sure enjoyed writing it, and I hope to be back with an outfit story very soon!

Lots of love,

Those boots be made for walking....around the house since we're all on lockdown

Lol, I put them on when I'm going to the supermarket. It's the only them when I can show them off😜

Lol in these times you have to maximize your time if you decide to put on something cute, as for me I’ve given up I’ll just look like a homeless person that should keep everyone Socially distancing without me needing to worry about washing hands or wearing a mask
