Rolo Crumble Cake

It's been a long time since I wrote a post for Hive. I moved out of my mother's house, so I've been very busy with furnishing and buying practical stuff like tableware and towels. It has been very stressful but at least I'm having a place for my own now. It still doesn't really feel like my own home, but hopefully, it will be like that when it's totally furnished and decorated. I'll definitely show you the results once it's done.

The last internship of my education starts tomorrow so I thought today would be a good day to take it slow. Also, I made the promise that I would bake something this weekend, so 1+1=2.

The cake

I often come across recipes when I'm browsing the internet. Even when I'm not looking for them, they always seem to find me. The same happened with this recipe. I put it in my 'to bake' folder a few weeks ago and it was waiting for its moment to be used.

It's a very easy recipe and you don't need much uncommon ingredients, which is nice if you're having a lazy day like I had. Only the Rolo's needed to be bought. I can't remember when I ate these for the last time, but probably when I still was a little kid. Those chocolates really give me a nostalgic feeling and I even find them taste nostalgic.

The batter was done in 30 minutes and it needed to bake for 50 minutes. I wanted to take some photos myself, but while the cake was baking it was already getting dark outside. Luckily, I was able to trade some of @rubencress his help for a piece of cake. He set up the lights and eventually took the shots as well. So all the credits for photography to him :D.

I was looking at some older baking photos and it seems that I'm kinda into crumble, lol. Crumble cake, crumble pie, crumble for dessert, yes please! I hope you don't get bored of it :p.
