Hi everyone!It's a great pleasure to be here.My name is Lois Udosen.I am from Nigeria in West Africa.Nigeria is a vast country made up of different tribes.Each tribe has it's own language,customs and traditions and peculiar food.It will surprise you to know the language difference in each tribe is so much,that no two tribes understand each other.To make for easy communication therefore,the linguafranca in Nigeria is English.Although I am originally from the Igbo speaking tribe in the South-east,my husband comes from the Efik speaking tribe in the South-South.At first,when I introduced him to my parents as my husband to be,my parents were quite apprehensive because,as they said,he was not from our tribe.But i was finally able to convince him he was the man for me.They finally gave us their blessing and we got married in 2007. I studied Civil Engineering in the University.No,I didn't study this course because I loved it,or because I wanted to be an Engineer.I actually wanted to study mass communications in the Uni.But when it was time to choose whether I would major in science subjects or arts in senior secondary school,I thought going to consult the school guidance counselor would put me on the right path! It was Mrs Yussuf(that was her name),who convinced me to major in sciences,so I could study medicine.According to her,doctors were usually the highest paid professionals in the world.Poor little me,I decided to heed her advice.Unfortunatly for me,I hated Biology.All those human sculls,skeletons and labelling the different parts of a cockroach and lizards,just wasn't for me!Being that I was good with figures,I ended up in Engineering department.Needless to say,I wasn't what you would call a good student! Having spent six yrs of my life studying a course I didn't really enjoy,after graduation I was determined to do what I had passion for,that was how I ventured into alternative medicine,selling organic food supplements which help the body to heal itself without the use of orthodox drugs. How did I get into alternative medicine practice?Well,it had everything to do with the death of my mother.My mother suffered from diabetes for more than thirty years.She was able to live a normal life by managing this health condition with orthodox drugs.Unfortunately,after thirty years of being on mainstream drugs,her organs couldn't take it anymore.She finally died from heart failure,which was a result of all the years on drugs.My mum's death simply broke me.It took me many years to recover.Determined to find more natural ways one could manage and even cure diseases, I started my research.Here I am today,a representative for different companies from all over the world,who are into the manufacture of natural,organic food supplements HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HIVE
I heard about Hive during a
discussion with a friend.As we were disccussing,he casually mentioned there was a community he belonged to where he could post and engage with posts from other members.When I asked him why he was speaking in past tense,he told me he was no longer active there,as he had been banned.He however helped to put me through how to register and set up my account. I have always loved writing.Growing up was a lonely time for me.As an only daughter,with brother's who were only interested in football,finding a playmate wasn't easy for me.Writing and reading books has been an outlet for me.Finding a platform like this,where I can finally get all these stories out of my head,is a great relief!Thanks for having me,hive.I am sure I am going to enjoy myself here,writing and reading posts from other members.Cheers to a wonderful time ahead
