Sunrise - The Beginnings
Most of the world was fast asleep as we danced in the streets.
She drank a little bit too much, couldn’t stand on her feet.
I caught her looking at me smiling and shattered to pieces.
My heart’s a cage for a beast and it’s time to release it.
Still up at dawn here observing a sunrise so pretty.
I walked her home and thought about it as I walked through the city.
A beautiful exotic dame with exceptional curves.
I’m really falling. I can see it in all of these nerves.
Feel like I found my other half and I don’t need no endorsements.
Whenever she speaks, I feel colossal - Been this way for some months now;
Been swollowing my words in hopes of signs she is thinking
about me too, and now I feel like into love we are sinking.
It's like whoever writes these scripts is my most favorite writer.
I feel alive when I’m around her. Lonely, I'm just a fighter;
A little lost but certain of the things in life that I'm chasing.
How is it possible for somebody to be so amazing?
I'm out here missing her badly; Cannot explain the attraction,
but when I see her name popping up on my phone, my reaction
is nothing short of excitement that I just can't seem to express,
but I just needed to get this much off my chest here and confess.
I lost my mind
some time ago.
I needed someone;
Someone to show
Me the way back home.
See, I’ve been lost
for days on end.
I needed company;
More than a friend.
