En mi caso me tocó caminar 5 veces hasta mi casa, fueron 15 km por día, más de 4 horas caminando. Galletas Puig mi antiguo trabajo queda en la zona industrial de Caracas, específicamente en Los Cortijos. Ver el caos y toda la locura para poder montarse en un medio de transporte me hacía pensar en alternativas. Observe que los motorizados se desplazaban relajados en medio de todo el caos, en ese momento me dije “Me compro una moto por que si”.
In my case I had to walk 5 times to my house, 15 km per day, more than 4 hours walking. Galletas Puig, my old job, is in the industrial zone of Caracas, specifically in Los Cortijos. Seeing the chaos and all the madness to get on a means of transportation made me think of alternatives. I noticed that the bikers were moving relaxed in the midst of all the chaos, at that moment I said to myself "I'm buying a motorcycle just because".
El 10 de julio del 2019 solicite las vacaciones en Sucesora de Galletas Puig las cuales fueron aprobadas, durante ese proceso con el pago de las vacaciones y unos ahorros, comencé a buscar en marketplace una página de ventas de todo tipo de cosas. Toda moto que veía preguntaba y les ofrecía el dinero que tenía y mi celular. Durante los 15 días de vacaciones nadie me quiso vender su moto yo ni dormía pendiente de que alguien aceptara mi oferta.
On July 10, 2019, I requested the vacation in Sucesora de Galletas Puig which was approved, during this process with the payment of the vacation and some savings, I began to search in the marketplace a page of sales of all kinds of things. Every motorcycle I saw I asked and offered them the money I had and my cell phone. During the 15 days of vacation no one wanted to sell me their bike and I didn't even sleep waiting for someone to accept my offer.
Terminaron mis vacaciones y no pude comprar ninguna moto, les cuento que yo buscaba una moto automática ya que las motos de cambio me causaban algo de temor, en la ciudad las roban mucho y su manejo es muy complicado, bueno esa era mi perspectiva de ese tipo de motos para ese momento.
My vacation ended and I could not buy any motorcycle, I tell you that I was looking for an automatic motorcycle because the gear motorcycles caused me some fear, in the city, they are stolen a lot and its handling is very complicated, well that was my perspective of that type of motorcycle for that moment.
El 9 de agosto del 2019 una muchacha de un pueblo llamado Guarenas Edo Miranda, oferto su moto por la suma de dinero que yo tenía, les diré que no lo pensé, ese día no fui a trabajar me fui hasta Guarenas a ver la moto invite a un amigo que es mecánico de motos y la evaluamos, sin pensarlo mucho al día siguiente me fui solo a comprarla, que les parece que la chica que me la estaba vendiendo no aparecía la espere durante 3 horas, según se quedó dormida, el caso término que nos fuimos a tránsito a revisar los seriales de la moto y sin terminar el proceso la chica me dice vinieron por mí dame el dinero y se fue, me quede solo en el lugar, de verdad estaba muy desolado y la experticia de la moto me la darían en 5 días hábiles. Esto les va a parecer una locura, pero yo no sabía nada de motos pero nadita ni como enciende ni como se arranca y en vista del momento yo me monte y como pude la prendí y me fui del lugar.
On August 9, 2019, a girl from a town called Guarenas Edo Miranda, offered her motorcycle for the amount of money I had, I will tell you that I did not think about it, that day I did not go to work I went to Guarenas to see the bike I invited a friend who is a motorcycle mechanic and we evaluated it, without thinking much the next day I went alone to buy it, What do you think the girl who was selling it to me did not show up, I waited for her for 3 hours, according to her she fell asleep, the case ended up that we went to transit to check the serial numbers of the bike and without finishing the process the girl told me they came for me give me the money and left, I was left alone in the place, I was really very desolate and the expertise of the bike would give it to me in 5 working days. This is going to sound crazy, but I did not know anything about motorcycles but nothing about how to turn it on or how to start it, and because of the moment I got on it and as I could I started it and left the place.
Yo temblaba tenía el corazón en la boca los camiones me pasaban por un lado estaba muy tenso y asustado y más aún cuando ni licencia de conducir motos tenía , lo bueno fue que llegue hasta mi casa, fue toda una experiencia única e inolvidable. El cuento no llega hasta allí, cuando llego a casa al meter la moto se me cae y le partí los focos traseros. Dure una semana entera para poderla sacar.
I was trembling, my heart was in my mouth, the trucks were passing me by, I was very tense and scared and even more when I didn't even have a motorcycle license, the good thing was that I got to my house, it was a unique and unforgettable experience. The story doesn't end there, when I get home, when I put the bike in, I dropped it and I broke the rear lights. It took me a whole week to get it out.
Les cuento para guardar la moto en el edificio donde vivo hay 3 escalones grandes debía pasar la moto por allí prendida y de verdad era muy complicado. Ustedes se van a reír pero al día siguiente de haberla sacado choque la moto contra la pared de mi departamento no solo eso mi mama estaba de visita en casa y hasta ella fue afectada ya que ella salió a recibirme, la moto se me fue de las manos y me llevo arrastrado choco con mi mama y terminamos los 2 en la pared de la ventana. Fue algo que ocurrió muy rápido de verdad fue horrible mi mama quedo un lado yo por otro y la moto todavía prendida por otro, como pude apague la moto asustado de lo ocurrido, mi mamá comenzó a gritar “Maiker mi brazo me lo saque del lugar!!” yo entre en crisis como pude la levanté del suelo y nos metimos en el departamento, allí entre los 2 le llevamos el brazo al lugar, ella estaba muy adolorida estaba que salía corriendo al médico. El cuento fue que ella no quiso, la cuestión no quedó allí cuando pase el susto y me quite la ropa tenía el tobillo inflamado se veía muy mal, pues resulta que tuve una fractura el tobillo se deslizó y género líquido. Ese día deseé no haber comprado moto, dure 15 días de reposo con terapias.

I went into crisis as I could I lifted her off the floor and we got into the apartment, there between the 2 of us we took her arm to the place, she was very sore and she was running to the doctor. The story was that she did not want to, the issue was not there when I passed the scare and I took off my clothes had swollen ankle looked very bad, it turns out that I had a fracture the ankle slipped and fluid gender. That day I wished I had not bought a motorcycle, I had 15 days of rest with therapies.
Tanto fue así que pensé en vender la moto sin haberle dado mucho uso, estaba molesto conmigo mismo por no haber aprendido a meter bien la moto. Al pasar los días me puse a pensar y diseñe una tabla y comencé a practicar con la moto para meterla apagada, santo remedio que se acabaron las caídas.
So much so that I thought about selling the bike without having given it much use, I was annoyed with myself for not having learned to put the bike well. As the days went by I started to think and designed aboard and began to practice with the bike to put it off, holy remedy that the crashes were over.
Les cuento que duré con mi moto año y medio, recorrí toda caracas hasta el último rincón, fui hasta el junquito un pueblo turístico de la ciudad, parte de Miranda. Pero no todo es tan color de rosas la moto después del accidente quedó con fallas y al pasar el tiempo incurrir en muchos gastos para que la moto estuviera operativa si les muestro todas la fotos que tengo arreglando la moto son muchas. Pero lo bueno fue que me la gocé, me divertí, aprendí, fui mecánico. Comprendí porque dicen que el medio de transporte de todo hombre es uno de sus mayores tesoros.

Ustedes se preguntaran por que les hablo en pasado cuando menciono mi moto, resulta que el 25 de marzo del 2021 la vendí, se preguntaran porque si la amaba tanto? Una de mis metas del año 2021 era comprar una mejor moto al iniciar el año comencé a planificarlo. Les cuento que el día que fui a entregarla a su nueva dueña me costó mucho, dicen por allí que no debemos apegarnos a lo material, pero realmente cuando algo te hace feliz tú lo amas con todas tus fuerzas.
