My name is Martina and I am super-excited to join this wonderful community and share a bit of my life with all of you. I have never been a blogger but with this platform, I see a purpose and I really want to give it a go, so let's do it!
I currently work a 9-5 job which sucks most of the life out of me, but on a positive note - I really enjoy the existence of my 3 beautiful doggies and their nutbag personalities. 😜🐶
I enjoy going on trips, walks, seeing nature, views. ⛰️🌅🌄☘️
I love a gooood cup of coffee/oatmilk cappuccino. ☕☕☕
Oh and yes, sometimes I paint 🎨🤗
I originally come from a small town in the west of Slovakia, a small country in the heart of Europe.

No, it is not Czechoslovakia. 😅 Not anymore! We used to be Czechoslovakia but - unfortunately - we split from our brothers and sisters Czechs about 30 years ago. Czech beer is the best though - cheers to that 🍻(@cesky)

I left Slovakia when I was 18 and moved to England. I was a very stubborn teenager, didn't want to go to Uni, completely sick of school and the education system at that point. I had barely any work experience other than a bartender in a few pubs and clubs and my English was very, very poor! I found work in a place selling burgers and I worked there for a few weeks, I got a one-time job in a rugby stadium, got to see a bit of a rugby match for the first time in my life. Throughout the 4 years I lived in Gloucester, I worked all kinds of jobs and it was all fun at first. I really appreciate all the life lessons I learned there and most importantly I picked up a lot of the language. My mom insisted on me returning home and going back to studies. After 4 years of shitty jobs of all sorts, I said ok..
I returned to Slovakia and started school - again. I was the oldest one in the class but it wasn't that bad. I found my best friend there. She sat right in the next row in front of me on our Day 1 at the Uni. This was simply meant to be. 💞
Fastforward 5 years, finishing year of my Uni studies, I reunited with my old friend from back in the day. He was actually the person who took me to England back when I was 18. He was the same age as me. His father lived in England at that time, so we moved and stayed at his place while trying to find jobs.
As we reunited as friends after all these years, we kind of hooked up too 😍 He was just after splitting up with his girlfriend, I just ended my relationship of nearly 5 years as well. He was in Ireland, I was in Slovakia.

And now.. I live in Ireland too ! 😅
Can’t believe it’s already been 8 years of me living on this magical island called Eire.. The most spectacular landscapes, countrysides, mountains and seas you can ever imagine, full of divine energy and mythical beings 🧚♂️ The Irish, they are absolutely mad. Completely and utterly bonkers, there is no doubt about that. But in the absolute best way possible 🤗 Their sense of humour cannot be matched by no other nation, this is something they are born with and what they call the 'craic'. There is 'no bother' on them! You can craic a joke in the queue in the supermarket, they get the joke instantly and they come right back at ya with something even stupider 😅 Just the way it's supposed to be.
Here I am lucky enough to be living my life at the South Eastern coast, very close to some breathtaking beaches, coves and cliffs and I kind of got used to living by the sea. On the other side we have the Comeragh Mountains where from the top of the hills, you have the sea-views, lakes and waterfalls.
The weather is pretty cold most of the time but it gets warmer during the summer, winters are very mild even though, we had snow a few times and a few pretty bad storms.
We have done a few of trips and hikes in Ireland and we saw a good bit of the West Coast and more to come soon, so stay tuned either here or on @speko to see more. We managed to get on a few trips outside of Ireland as well such as Portugal, Bali, Amsterdam and saw some exceptional places.
I will be using this platform as my blog to share my thoughts and views on life, whatever I find interesting or useful to share with the community.

Ahoj Marťo! Snad můžu česky :D Díky za tohle parádní intro a už se těším na tvé další články, témat máš evidentně víc než dost :) Hive je pro takové kreativce skvělým místem. Ze začátku tady jsou všichni ze všech těch technikálií trošku, jak to říct, overwhelmed, ale tím se vůbec nenech odradit, navíc ti určitě se vším pomůže @speko, který už se tu celkem orientuje :) Ten ti taky určitě řekne o naší malé československé komunitce, které se můžeš někdy v budoucnu taky představit, budem rádi ;)

Rada sa učím nové veci, no priznávam, že mi trvalo chvíľu sa tu zorientovať a pochopiť 🙈 Ešte sa mám veľa čo učiť samozrejme to veľmi sa na to teším a pozerám sa na to ako na "challenge accepted" 💪
Najviac sa ale teším na spoznávanie nových a zaujímavých ľudí-komunít, zdieľanie zážitkov a nápadov. Určite sa rada predstavím aj československej Hive komunitke a popracujem na poste v slovenčine už čoskoro! Ešte raz, ďakujem za podporu!

Ireland! I love Ireland-Scotland and the people there, you are very lucky to live there... in these lives I hang out in the banana republic of Germany, not that I think it's bad here, the nature and wildlife is great! It's just that this country is ruled by dark forces, which is immediately obvious to a Celtic-Germanic soul.
I'm glad you're here, I'd like to talk to you further and I'd be interested if you know the story of Queen Tamar from Ireland and her sister Princess Scota? Even the prophet Jeremiah is said to be buried in Ireland... this country holds among other things the greatest secrets that this world has to offer.

I have been to Germany a few times but more like passing the country while travelling elsewhere, we actually camped there one night when we were driving from Ireland to Slovakia. I definitely want to do a proper visit and see Berlin, Munich and a bit of the nature as well. There is so much history in Germany and would love to experience it 😊
