there's also an ongoing multi-fold process of improving all the processes that Królestwo rests on. This includes:Last month or two have been very busy for @krolestwo. Apart from the usual daily hustle: buying provisions, cleaning, organizing various events, publishing on Hive,
- constant work on improving the quality of the events, and marketing of these as well,
- creating the knowledge base about the place, that also contains information useful for volunteers,
- introducing elements of lean management methodology (great work by @mligeza on that front!),
- strengthening the use of Hive in daily operations of Królestwo.
One of the main strives in regards to the last point is the all-new web application for Królestwo, which is available at krolestwo.bezkresu.org. I mentioned it already just over a month ago, but in the meantime it has evolved rapidly—I feel that an update will come in handy.
Shy beginnings

The previous solution was riddled with a very, very bad performance issues (the website could freeze a relatively powerful Macbook), the interface wasn't too modern and easy to use.It all started in December last year, @hallmann asking me to
idea was growing in my mindOf course, I did what @hallmann asked for, but in the meantime an : let's treat this new RCR app as a foundation for developing something much, much more comprehensive—a tool which will help @krolestwo to reach a new level in organizing its life and its operations around Hive and its own RCR tokens.
You see, there are already multiple processes in place, which make use of Hive and RCR, but in a very convoluted way. Take Proposals as an example. Królestwo is a community-driven venue, so everyone is free to propose any change to how the place operates. The proposal could be anything small, like buying a new board game, but it could also propose to change the Constitution of Królestwo Bez Kresu.
Previously, in order to make a Proposal, you had to make a post about it. Other members of Królestwo then had 7 days to comment whether they support the Proposal being voted on. If enough people supported the Proposal, it would enter another 7-week-long voting period, where you could vote for or against the proposal.
A lot of repetitive, manual labor. And this is just one of many such processes, that could leverage more customized Hive-based features immensely.The entire process involved @hallmann having to manually read through the comments, note down each vote, then check how many RCR tokens each user possesed, sum it all up...
After a few meetings with other great and heavily-involved volunteers (shout out to @mligeza, @lpa, @mynewlife, @grigorijj, @wayward-dreams, @wstawarz – hope I didn't miss anyone) we already had a long list of things to fix. Now it was time to get to work.
Brand new KBK Proposals
The process of creating Proposals for KBK was the one that we decided to work on first. Some of the reasons for that were:
- Processing Proposals required a lot of manual and repetitive work from @hallmann.
- The process was not very transparent. You could validate results provided by @hallmann, but it required just as much work.
- Voting process was hard: you had to find the post on Hive and add a comment, you couldn't see the live status of voting.
- People were not eager on creating their own Proposals, because the process was not clear for them. We wanted to motivate them and make it easier.
- It also wasn't easy for people to find out what Proposals are open that they could vote on.
I got to work right away, and a few days ago we've released a major update to the krolestwo.bezkresu.org app. Thanks to the new set of features, you can easily add Proposals and vote on them with one click of a button.
The system automatically calculates your voting power by comparing RCRs in your wallet to the total supply of RCR tokens. Thanks to that, you can easily see a progress bar that shows the current state of the voting. Moreover, when the voting time is over, the system automatically closes the Proposal: votes can no longer be casted, and a snapshot is taken to freeze the votes casted, with the RCR power that users had at that time.
No longer posting comments and manually calculating the result of the Proposal voting 🎉. Everything is done automatically, with Hive used as an immutable database—that gives us an unbeatable layer of transparency.
Moreover, I've developed a simple commenting bot at @rcr.app—whenever someone adds a Proposal, it will add a comment under the attached post with useful information, and a link to the voting page.
It will also automatically add a comment when the voting phase ends, with the voting result included in the comment!
Looking forward
This new feature of KBK Proposals is just the beginning of a very fascinating journey. We already have many more features planned, and we will develop them one by one in order to take the integration of Hive and @krolestwo on a new level.

We believe we are on a frontier of exploring how blockchain technology can help solve real world problemsa brand new way in which similar organizations can thrive in the current day and age with the help of Hive.. Thanks to Hive @krolestwo can operate independently, have a strong economy that fuels it, and a lively community that can self-organize with the help of our custom-made app. We are slowly but surely working out
There's still many bits and pieces missing, and we're in the middle of a huge, transformative process. But we will share our journey with you, and we believe that it's just a matter of time when more and more organizations will start to walk in our footsteps. By that time we will have the experience necessary to help them, and—hopefully–a set of ready-made technologies that they can reuse.
All of this makes me very hopeful for the future. There's plenty concerning stuff happening all over the world: the social order that we know is crumbling away, culture is riddled with a strong regressive tendency, economy is being turned upside down. But it's in such times of chaos that new paradigms are born and start to thrive. We in @krolestwo find ourselves in the middle of this struggle, and we'll do everything to push the frontline further.
