The tradition of teaching in the style of the Acehnese people

in OCD3 years ago

Hello Hive Community, Good evening everyone, How's life going?, I hope all of you are given health and success in every job.

Speaking of teaching, are you a student or still studying or are you currently in the two professions?

As a student who is still studying in college, another profession than myself is a religious teacher, in a government agency which is abbreviated as "TPA". Here I teach only in the afternoon, from 16:00 to 18:00.

However, did you know that teaching also has a tradition in society?

Teaching is not just about you teaching someone or more, but also talking about a tradition. As in the province of Aceh, Indonesia. We as the people of Aceh have our own teaching characteristics, which is termed the word "Halaqah", the word "Halaqah" itself comes from Arabic which means group, or sitting in groups. This word began to exist in Acehnese society when Islam first entered Aceh in the 12th century.

This "Halaqah" system is a teaching system with
ordered the students to sit in groups, and began to be taught one by one according to who was appointed first, this system is very cultivating in Acehnese society, even not only in terms of teaching, in Acehnese society this system is also used in every meeting in various activities, with a characteristic Sit folded right leg into left leg.

Sitting folded legs has a symbol of politeness and discipline, we Acehnese are used to sitting like this wherever we are, "Halaqah" is a very ancient education system, it has been preserved for centuries in Aceh, until now the "Halaqah" system is still valid in several government educational institutions, because it has proven to be very effective in teaching.

Until this is our meeting in this post, see you in the next post, I hope you like it.

Many Thanks to the hive community and to all of you.
