Making this post I could only think about space invaders which was a game I played as a kid growing up 😀😀.
I have taken my time to play every difficulty level of this game and here is my honest review of the game.
Crypto Shots is a play to earn web3 game built on WAX and Hive blockchain. Users can play and earn various NFT items and the native token (DOOM) of the platform.
The game is pretty cool and involves a lot of shooting, players are required to clear each level by shooting up drones in various planet's, collecting rewards and trading their NFTs for game assets like space-parts, guns, ammo and more powerful characters.
Players can also play and compete with their friends in the user-owned arenas.
Lets take a step by step review of the various features, impressions and improvements I would love to see in the game.
Difficulty Level Selection Page.
This is the first page when you firing the game up, i think the background GIF is really cool, its definitely giving a feel of what you'd expect in the game. I also found the huge moon and sun very suitable for a space game.
The Difficulty level is another impressive feature, unlike most game that require you adjust the difficulty level after you start the game or mid play, in crypto shots you simply select the preferred difficulty level and play.
Game Graphics/ Controls And Impressions
The overall game graphics is lookin great, game controls and setting is looking very cool. I really enjoyed my time playing this game.
The 3 minute's game time for every level is really cool, it ingresses adrenaline rush to complete and clear each level before the exhaustion of the given time.
Playing this game with my Hp 4th generation laptop with zero lag was super impressive, played all 18 levels with zero lag, did a lot of shooting in all levels and it was a smooth and beautiful experience.
I think one of the most unfamiliar features i noticed in this game is the red horizontal line highlighted with a green marker. I couldn't quite place weather this is a map, some kind of compass or just a red line that shows the bag guy without detailing some kind of direction of the bad guys.
I also noticed that there isn't extra ammo anywhere in the game, they were a lot of boxes littered around in various rooms in the game, but I was rather disappointed when I depleted my ammo rounds and couldn't find any extra ammo to continue the level, perhaps it could be because of the free game mode. I had to aim better in the later stages and levels of the game.
Background information during game play was also very minimal, there were very little detail about the various levels, details like number of robots to kill, number of remaining robots and other tiny tips that would be needed to play each level, I ended up searching the whole rooms and shooting all the robots I could find until the time was over.
Overall I think the game is a great game full of action and a lot of shooting which is really cool, its lag free and has a really cool FPS experience which is better than most FPS game out there. These are my top impressions about the game.
- Zero Lag and Support for Low performance computers
- Great and cool graphics which makes user experience better.
- Excellent and responsive control.

I think one of the most impressive things about this game is its integration with the Hive blockchain and extensive NFT program.
Gamers can buy different assets and NFT equipment's to improve and arm their character. You can equip and personalize your character to have rare attributes that other games or your friends do not have. You can buy Spaceship pass to travel to other planets and conquer, cool right??
Here are some of the in-game assets that you can actually buy and upgrade your character.
In addition to buying NFT parts and assets, you can also buy resources and NFTs using Swap.hive.
You can also purchase NFTs uisng DOOM and Bee, soon hive users will be able to buy NFTs from this market using their Hive token instead of a wrapped token like swap.hive.

In conclusion i think this is a great game, its already working efficiently, there were a few minor improvements that I think should be implemented in order to improve player experience. I give this game a start rating of ⭐⭐⭐⭐.

It will really super helpful for players while upping the overall user experience, I played for a few hours and I still never got to actually finish a level I didn’t know if I had cleared all the robots, do it will be really helpful to see this feature back again.
Overall it was a great and I will be purchasing and playing the game more often.
