I've taken breaks, the longest was seven months. I do that occasionally because things look different outside when I'm not documenting. Every once in awhile I need to remind myself to appreciate more and capture less. Otherwise.. quit? Nope!! Look out 70.... you're next.

I am really that age, although I don't mind forgetting that most of the time! I get to wait until nearer the end of the year for 46. I usually forget about the existence of calculators and sit there counting on my fingers. 1980 plus 5 years wasn't too hard for my fragile little mind, though.
