A year after a super typhoon hits us😢

in OCD2 years ago (edited)

December 16 to be exact ,the super typhoon devastated in some parts of our country and we are one of yhe most affected on that typhoon.

Its been a year but the trauma is still there ,everytime we experienced a strong wind and heavy rainfalls it will remind me my experienced on the first super typhoon I've experienced.

For today's blog I will share my experienced on the super typhoon oddette which change our lives.I may able to scape the super typhoon Yolanda last 2013 but unluckily I wasn't able to scape the super typhoon odette last year.

It was December 16 when the weather is totally fine ,the sky was so calm .We are aware on how strong the typhoon Oddette was ,so as my preparation ,I cover all our clothes and we and my family went to my sister inlaw's house since they are having a fully concrete house and ours is only a house made of light materials.

Around 4 in the afternoon ,the wind started blowing ,the sky was so dark and the heavy rainfalls started to pour.

We noticed that the wind changing from time to time until it wa so extremly blowing around 6 in the evening.I was'nt able to eat my dinner as I keep crying while praying ,begging to stop the typhoon.

I hug my kids tighly coz they are so afrain as the winds have a creepy sounds .
I honestly felt worried for our nieghbors who only had a small houses like ours but glad that we had a shield ,my sister in-laws house.

I contacted my family asking their situation and same with us the strong winds started in my parents place and suddenly the signal was lost, there I started to feel worried coz my parents house is only made of light materials.

Around 9 in the evening ,the typhoon was gone and it going to destroyed some other places.

I and my husband checked out our house and I can't hold my tears seeing our house. It was gone ,we lost our house but whats important is we are safe ,we are still blessed.
Heres the after math photos I've taken.

A lot of trees was being destroyed but after a months those trees continue growing ,just like the trees we need to continue our lives and accept what was happened.

The typhoon oddette makes us suffered for two months with out electricity and water but as a human which we choose to continue our lives we did everything to survive.

Its been a year but still fresh in my mind what was happened but we need to moved on ,its the nature's movement ,we can't do anything for it ,what we had to do now is to take care of nature coz we will be the one who suffered when its get mad.

Anyway since our house was being destroyed ,last may we decided to build a new house ,a concrete one but we was'nt able to finish it as our money was not enough.
Praying that we can finish it by this new year.

I hope that you could acquire fund to settle your house. The most important is that you're safe since ang buhay, di mo na maibabalik. But yung ari-arian mo, pede niyo pa maibalik haha.

Same kayo ni Ren NG topic. Good thing talagang lumalaban mga pinoy sa mga ganitong sakuna

Ay ganun sis?malapit lang kami yung mata ng bagyo sa kanila dumaan ,magkatabing bayan kasi kami .

I'm really sorry to see what you're going through and what is even more sad is that you're not the only one. I hope you can rebuild your house and get your life back on track.
