I'm Mfoniso MichealM is from Mfoniso while mykel is an alternative spelling of Micheal. The combination of m and mykel is how I arrived at mmykel., with the username @mmykel here on hive. The username is a coinage of my two names.
I'm a Nigerian man, an indigene of Akwa-Ibom state, a state with peace loving people, located in the south southern region of the country.
Though I studied Chemistry in the University, fate would have me become a phonics and Diction teacher. So I did a certificate program in phonology.
I now teach primary and secondary school students English Phonetics and Diction, while I generally speak on Elocution.
I also have a certification from a theological institute, simply because I wanted to know myself and my environment better. Which better way to know oneself, than learning of the creator himself?
I love travelling, though I haven't hit the road lately. Covid-19 pandemic is one of the contributing factor. My love for travelling has been hindered by the pandemic. Reading, surfing the internet, thinking critically, speaking, singing, rapping, listening to good speeches and good music are my other hobbies.
I'm interested in many things. If it were possible I would have love to know at least a bit of everything, but is that even possible?
If you ask my mum about my childhood, she'll confess that she raised an inquisitive lad. Even in my adulthood, I don't think much has change, not that I want to change that aspect of me anyways. So it's fine.
Right from birth, I have managed to maintain a curious mind. Hence I'm always ready to explore and exploit possibilities.
I call myself an ardent consumer of good contents. That should already say a lot about my interest in Hive blog. I'm naturally drawn to platforms where I'm assured of being served juicy contents. I love creativity of all forms; be it visual arts, poetry, creative writings, philosophy and whatnot. I'm in for it. That's what I signed up for.
Having heard a lot about this platform from a number of good friends, before eventually deciding to give it a go and get myself signed up (after careful consideration of course), you should know that I'm already excited, my expectation is as high as the cloud is from the earth surface. Ironically I'm a little bit nervous, because I can't explicitly say that I know how it's gonna be in here, though I strongly hope and believe that it will turn out good. I always choose to stay positive.
I love writing on personal growth and self development. I will surely bring that inspiring and motivational aura which I'm known for in here. I'm still a student of poetry and creative writing, but not a complete professional, nevertheless, I will surely spice up my contents with a bit of those.
I'll like to believe that I'm young and free. As a result I'm open to learning, unlearning and relearning, all in the bid to maximally contribute my quota to further develop this community and humanity as a whole.
