Because in conjunction with the HiveStreet community http://peakd.com/c/hive-174034 I am going to run a 1000 Hive competition for street performance and live music on Hive!
I just need a bit more hive from my HP to do so, I'm going to run this competition as the first HiveStreet Parade Extravaganza to raise awareness of the HiveStreet community and the potential it has to offer for the greater Hive community. I plan to make it a regular occurence!
There will be 20 winners, each receiving 50 Hive. It is a call for performers of all kinds to post their art online as a video and receive a reward for it as part of the HiveStreet community.
While live music videos are a great feature of HiveStreet including weekly cross-posted performances from the Hive Open Mic (graciously run by @cabelindsay) - non-music performances will be favoured in the selection process! It can be a performance of almost anything that you consider deserves merit. If you're not normally a street performer, that's ok, now is your time to shine!
So while I save up some Hive from various sources and with my power down, you can start thinking about what you will enter!
I'm asking here @sketch.and.jam and @autobodhi to assist me in finding the best 20 performances and if there are less than or equal to 20 then everyone is a winner!
Entries will be taken over a two week period and all nations, tongues, peoples and performance styles are encouraged to enter.

Well, I’m not sure about going to the US right now, they might force vaccinate you at the airport or something, but there are interesting places and some natural beauty still left for now. Not much though, and being destroyed pretty fast.
Santa cruz is a beautiful place with an interesting subculture that is being overrun by silicone valley. High speed gentrification and a war on the transient subculture that has been there probably since the europeans killed off the indigenous people and stole their native land. The circle of greed or the circle of life? Is life greed? Maybe the circle of humanity. We better evolve quick if we really think we are worth saving.
