This is my first post of 2022 !! 🌟 Yey !!!!!! 🌟 ... Today I have for you a new Illustration that I made of a mermaid in 2019, I wanted to do it with various techniques; I mainly used watercolors, also acrylics, inks and rapidografs, in addition for applying the materials I used brushes, a toothbrush to splash, ink pens, a straw and my watercolor markers.
They will wonder why the "pitillo" (that's what they say in Venezuela to the straw), because I wanted to try an unconventional technique to generate translucent or transparent water effects. The technique consists of mixing the ink with a little liquid soap until it achieves a consistency that allows bubbles, with the "pitillo" or straw picks up some of the mixture and when carefully blowing in the right direction on the surface the ink bubbles fall and When they explode, they generate stains, leaving water effects different from those that brushes would give.
The colorful bubbles experiment was an excellent experiment, I invite you to put it into practice, you will have a lot of fun and if you have children you will love doing it with them.
The result of the use of different techniques and materials in this work is a beautiful colorful mermaid that is emerging from the crystalline waters of turquoise and aquamarine tones, in which the sun shines on the water and the scales of the mermaid giving it beautiful sparkles gold that comes to print that magic touch to the work.

Ésta es mi primera publicación del 2022!! 🌟 Yey!!!!!! 🌟 ... Hoy tengo para ustedes una nueva Ilustración que hice de una sirena en el 2019, quise hacerla con varias técnicas; usé acuarelas principalmente, también acrílicos, tintas y rapidografs, además en la aplicación de los materiales utilicé pinceles, un cepillo de dientes para salpicar, plumillas, un pitillo o pajilla y mis marcadores acuarelables.
Se preguntaran para qué el pitillo (así le dicen en Venezuela a la pajilla), pues quise intentar una técnica poco convencional para generar efectos traslúcidos o transparentes de agua. La técnica consiste en mezclar la tinta con un poco de jabón líquido hasta lograr una consistencia que permita hacer burbujas, con el pitillo o pajilla se recoge algo de la mezcla y al soplar cuidadosamente en la dirección adecuada sobre la superficie las burbujas de tinta caen y al explotar generan unas manchas dejando efectos de agua diferentes a los que darían los pinceles.
Fue un excelente experimento el de las burbujas coloridas, los invito a que lo pongan en práctica, se divertirán mucho y si tienen niños les encantará hacerlo con ellos.
El resultado de la utilización de diferentes técnicas y materiales en éste trabajo es una hermosa sirena colorida que está emergiendo de las aguas cristalinas de tonos turquesas y aguamarina, en el que el sol brilla sobre el agua y las escamas de la sirena dándole unos lindos destellos dorados que viene a imprimir ese toque mágico a la obra.

Thank you! It is not a small painting, it is a good size to decorate a wall in the living room :) ... it would look great in a space with natural lighting, on a white wall so that the colors shine. It would be very striking ✨🤓
